@sid,
My ranking list can be found in the thread linked in my signature. But, remember that the ranking is based on my personal preference. It may or may not be suitable for you.
Going through my list - filtering for enough bass (good quality), price
Xears TD100-II / III : Both have more bass quantity than M2. Bass can creep into midrange, but without overshadowing it - a peculiar sense of 'balance' unique to Xears TD series. Once you get used to the big bass quantity, you won't have any trouble (Bass Reducer EQ on iPod works otherwise). TDIII has more bass quantity and impact than TD-II and also has a better presence in the upper midrange.
I did not update my 9 IEM comparison in TE because it's already long enough, but I did update my blog post (with small re-writes here and there) where I compared TDII, TDIII and M3 in a bit more detail -
Tale of two brands: Xears and Brainwavz - 11 IEMs compared. But, be aware that I am not sure how much the current Black TDII sounds different compared to the older version of TDII I have.
MEElectronics CC51: So far, based on whatever I've heard from those I trust, it is a very good option.
ECCI PR401: Despite my
not so enthusiastic view on them, they have a V-shaped signature which suits Techno and Rock. As your first IEM, I won't be too bothered about the politeness of the dynamic range as it has some good things compensating for it - clarity across the range, balance, small comfortable size of the shells, open sound stage. Do a rawrster mod on the cable and they are good to go. But, be aware that the mids won't sound warm or lush or sweet, they almost have a neutral tone. PR401 is the upgrade to the Cyclone IEM you shortlisted in the first post.
So....
What is the one IEM I would go for if I was in your position? I would do more research. If it is possible for you to listen to M2 / M3 at a friend's place, I'd do it first. Because, I believe no matter how many opinions you read, it's your own ears that do the deciding.
In case you don't like them for some reason, I'd look at CC51 as an option. Even though I've not heard it, it currently seems to be the best offered by MEE. Considering MEE also has a local distributor, it is another safe choice to have.
If you do not bother about local support, I'd get Xears TD-III / II - even if just to know why people like Xears over at head-fi. While it's housing is well built (metal - easy to handle), it's overall build quality is not as good as MEE / Brainwavz. It's bass quantity is also on the higher side than the other two.
PR401 is a dark horse @ $75. Joker and a few others like it much more than I do; so it does come with recommendation from more experienced reviewers.
Sorry for being vague, because if I was in your position, I'd have bought all just to test them :ashamed:. That's the downside of being an IEM Addict.
