Hey, a friend of mine is looking to buy a new laptop, budget is around 45k, can you guys suggest me something in that price range? Which brand and model to go for?

You will need to contact a dell rep. Call them at the end of the month if possible to get some sweet deals.Also haggle a bit, say you want final price with discounts, they might exempt tax n stuff or give you some freebies.

killer config apart from the proccy (which btw is not all that bad) for 47 grand

a definite contender since ur gonna use it for gaming

I'd have to agree with boomshankar since I bought 1 today! On a serious note though since you mention gaming, the Mobility Radeon 4650 on the 1110-AX in my knowledge is the best GPU solution available for laptops in any budget range from any manufacturer in India yet.

FYI: I got mine for Rs. 47,500 + Rs. 5,500 for +2 Years Extended Warranty.

^You are getting an ATI 4650 1GB, Show me any laptop in this price range in India which has a better GPU. This is the best gaming laptop you can get in that budget. Even the processor isn't that bad. One has to make a choice between a better GPU or a better processor and if my usage is gaming and entertainment, I would choose the better GPU any day.

Also for me the looks matters. I can live with it even if its not very stylish but Dell laptops are just plain ugly. Even HCL and Lenovo have better looking laptops than Dell. After Sony Vaio, this is the best looking laptop you can have. And ofcourse the extra screen helps.
