CPU/Mobo best mobo to go with amd 4800+

i would be getting a amd 4800+ and want a mobo to go with it... please advise as i need the following features...
1. 24x7 ON on most days.... else average 15 hrs everyday

2. 4 ram slot

3. good onboard gfx card as backup (will use my 8600gt on it)

4. good souncard with 3 output option as input to my creative T6060 speakers

5. preferably 3 pci slot else a dual lan.... do we have wifi available in this..???

6. good after sales support and reasonably price and i wont overclock.... future proci proof will be addon

budget : 5k
also an average smps.... 4800+ + 4 gb ram + 1TB + 8600GT + dvdrw

budget for smps : 3K max (2k preferable)

do let me know if same features like value for money and rock stability can be obtained from any intel C2d combo...???

For 5 k , Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H is ur best bet, it has hd3200 onboard .

smps cm460w 1.9k but i recommend (n so wil many) the corsair vx450 for 3.1k

^ lol nice try there . Asus m2a-vm is also a good board if you can get at cheaper price since 780 G is basically costly coz of onboard graphics . It wont be really useful to you since 8600GT can't do hybrid crossfire with it .

Not just onboard graphics but the features it offers for an entry level mobo.... Its terrific for this price range considering the package, performance & feature set... :hap2: :hap2:

i heard jetway and asus (sometimes) takes months to get issue resolved...

also how long before 790 chipset hit the indian market..??? heard it is 3% faster... should i wait..???

BTW the gigabyte mobo looks good

For AMD MSI boards are Best VFM, bcoz they not easily available.

You 6 conditions only meets one board, i.e., Jetway JHA02-GT. It does not seems to be worth spending on this board.

no i did not like the Jetway JHA02-GT board...

i am liking the gigabyte board... but please clear my doubt..

it has 5.1 (6 pins output) but my T6060 creative speakers take 3 pin input.... how do i connect the two... i dont wanna lose out on sound channels...????

plug them in and you can then configure the jacks on the gigabyte 780[front/rear/side/center/etc.]. BTW the audio supported on gigbyte is 7.1.

jus plug in lime(front), black(rear), orange(center/woofer) to the pins on the board..

also i think 4800+ is good enough for my needs, do we have any other VFM proci deal... maybe 5000+ or something... how good are they...

Neither can you hybrid CF or hybrid SLi with M2A-VM. :lol:
M2A-VM HDMI was 4.5K odd iirc, non HDMI was cheaper.

780G has better onboard than 690G.
780G onboard gfx is DX10 and HD capable iirc.
Gigabyte one has solid caps in pwm iirc. lemme check. :ashamed:
Has hdmi onboard- good for HTPC in future.

A lots of gurus like Apo sir and TechHead sir are using one for their HTPC.

If buyer has the budget, 780G is definitely recommended.
It does have good onboard gfx as the OP wants for backup apart from loads of other features and really good build quality from what i have heard.

Gigabyte 780G- was 4.5K odd or lower.
Corsair VX450- was 3250/- or lower.

Looking at your extended period of operation, the highly efficient Corsair VX450 will be really beneficial, apart from all the other class-leading features and peace of mind.
In terms of value, it's like buying a psu worth 7K from yesteryears and offers enough expandability for your config.
