Far Cry is the first thing to hit my mind.Followed by Crysis.

Far Cry and Battlefield are the games that got me completely involved! Battlefield was the first game that I played which gave you so much freedom to be anywhere in the map. And then there is that UT mode (Onslaught) which was a bit like Battlefield.

If you really want big, large and extensive outdoor maps opt for AOE-2, AOM, RON . You will get a "new" outdoor map everytime you start a Custom Match.
And yeah , I hate FPS :bleh:.

How about "Frontlines : Fuel of War".. It has got great outdoors.. Great graphics.. But the gameplay is a little crappy i think..

FAR CRY, Stalker are the best I found till now.
Just Cause(though not a fps) is also a nice one to mention.
