Best Racing game

I've played only a few racing games till date.. however, the best so far has been Burnout Revenge on my PS2..!
lotsa fun in that game. buggers used to jump outta way in midtown madness....carmageddon was realistic 
It has to be a tie between Burnout Revenge & Need For Speed Most Wanted.Both were way too much fun.:hap2:
The only thing I'll even consider as a sim is GTR2. Grid is hardly a sim, putting in cars that understeer on the way into a corner and oversteer on the way out is not a sim.
The best arcade racer to me has to be NFS:4 (high stakes, the one just before Porsche). Day and night racing, lots of tracks with options to race forward, backward, mirrored, and with or without weather (which would dramatically affect the car's grip and handling), cop chases, option to race as cops, excellent career mode, rewards for all kinds of achievements, the whole shebang. I would install it right now, except that it would look like crap at my resolution. I must've put one full year's time into the game, if you add up all the hours I spent playing it over 6 years.
