Best TV for PS5?

Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for a new TV primarily for gaming on my PS5. My budget is around ₹60,000–70,000, and I'm looking for something that offers the best bang for the buck in terms of gaming performance.

Must-haves:
  • 4K resolution
  • HDMI 2.1 (if possible in this range)
  • Good HDR performance (at least HDR10 support)
  • Low input lag and decent refresh rate (preferably 120Hz or VRR support)
  • Screen size: 50–55 inches

This will be used mainly for PS5 gaming, occasional streaming, and maybe some YouTube. I’d prefer something available on Amazon/Flipkart or offline in Bangalore.

Would love to hear your recommendations and if anyone has real-world gaming experience with their TV setups. Thanks in advance!

Hisene Q7N around 45k.

Also, most games don't run at 120fps on PS5 even if the game can, on a similarly powerful PC.

Samsung Frame 55" used to be 75k, was decent if you wanted something from bigger brand. Best deal IMO was LG B3 55" for under 90k, easily worth it if you want the best picture quality. I doubt either of them are at those prices now.

Someone in BLR was selling their old LG OLED TV in this forum, see if that thread is still open.

Thank you, how about OLED/mini-LED TVs? I don't mind waiting a bit longer for a sale from Amazon/Flipkart if it means that the prices would drop.

Also, why is it that PS5 cannot process games at 120Hz even if the game supports it?

No guarantee that waiting will make it so that those prices return. Inflation is high & companies are looking for ways to increase revenue.

Many new games are not well optimised now.

PS5 CPU is an underclocked R7 3700X & GPU is RX 6700 10GB like GPU (performance equivalent to RTX 2070S or 5700XT). So not the best hardware, still decent. But some devs are just lazy to include a 120fps mode, say EA FC24 can run at 120fps at 1080p med or so & game does benefit from higher fps beyond 60fps but EA did not give it that option. I looked into this when a friend (who is addicted to FIFA) was looking into PS5, he ended up building a PC instead.

I was also finding a TV for my ps5 couple of days back. In under 60K, there are no high refresh rate TVs from any brands like Sony, Samsung or LG as far as I know. The only option that was available in budget was either Hisense or TCL. I researched about the customer service of TCL vs Hisense, among the two, TCL had good reviews as compared to Hisense. I was about to order the TCL C755 mini-LED TV (based on RTings review - TCL QM7 there), but I decided to go ahead with a monitor instead of a TV cause I wanted to connect my laptop to it as well.
