Best Value for Money DTH for Generic TV viewing

I am looking for a best VFM DTH connection for occasional TV viewing for news,comedy,wwe,cartoons and movies.My requirement -

1)Getting most of the channels with lowest rate

2)Online Recharge

3)Need - TEN Sports(only for wwe),cartoon network(tom n jerry),discovery,one good hindi movie (sony max or whatever is best now),one good english movie channel (HBO may be)

4) I don't watch cricket a lot - so other sports channels are not in priority

My location- Chennai,Tamilnadu

My TV- sony wega 21 inch

I would suggest Tata Sky. It has all the channels you need at good prices and a great online recharge facility.

the wide choice of channels you have put for subscription,

It will be difficult for making them all come within one package and you may have to go for multiple topups which will be costly.

Go to every DTH providers site and compare the rates.

Quality wise there is negligible difference for 21 inch TV, the quality of customer care is different with different providers though.

Are the prices of the receiver (box), similarly priced among the providers?

Which would be the cheapest?

In terms of service and support?

I don't want to steal the thread, I am also looking for DTH. but building top is more than 80 feet than my floor.

I have hard that there is quality problem when its too long. My society doesn't allow me to put on side walls.

What about Videocon Satellite LCD TV ?? How is the picture quality and response time compared to others ?

M using VideoconD2H n m satisfied with it.

unlike others for Rs 275 it gives all the channels i want.

Picture quality is on par with others (M using Sharp 29inch Tv)
Switching channels take around 1 sec for the picture to appear.
The STB, remote and the User Interface are all much better and the best part is simplicity which in my case was important so that my parents can learn to use it

You are are from chennai right. Get the Sun Direct DTH. Has all the regional channels in the base package itself.
