[Beware] Expect load of cheap HDDs on eBay

OMG OMG ! No wonder a local dealer offered me a brand new 1.5TB WD Green for only 3.5k :O.

But these drives would not have warranty rite? WD Would / can track out the Serial No. of the these Drives and refuse warranty to say the least.
 
After studying the article, it is not clear whether the shipment is apprehended by police or not. They are only talking about criminals arrested.

If the got tip off in 2 hours, chances are that the looted material is also in hold of police.

I think even if HDDs are looted material, WD will need to provide the warranty. How end customer will know whether the HDDs were loot material or not ?
 
^ +1 to that. It is genuine stuff which has been stolen, how does the customer know whether it is chori ka maal!
 
Nehru Place price for 1TB Segate is 2850/- and WD is around 2900, So 1TB 3k on ebay is a bit higher :P
