^^ So an Internet Pirate in Sweden should be prosecuted in the USA, because he illegally shared something with someone in the USA. We could make stuff up like this all day :P
I never said that warning people was wrong, just the way that this was handled was incorrect as the appropriate mods should have been contacted first. It is not @cdspl2's place to force the issue and not offer the proper respect to the mods of this forum that handle the Market section and let them decide for themselves... especially since @cdspl2 has only made 1 post and does not IMO have the credibility to make this sort of accusation... we are not all privy to the other forum.
This is my opinion only, I just think it is wrong to punish someone here for something they did somewhere else. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be warned or watched carefully, IMHO everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves or have a 2nd chance.... (maybe with a watchful eye)
Edit:

After some thought I do agree that perhaps some action should be taken to avoid a similar situation at TE. This decision isn't anyone's to make except the appropriate mods and I firmly believe this was handled in a very inappropriate and disrespectful manner.

Plz keep ur ass off if this matter is none of ur business.......

Would you also say that the topic you are posting in is none of anybody else's business?

We would like to hear a clarification from you on the OP's allegations that you are not to be trusted. Would you want to rebut that so we can figure out what is right?

You might want to watch your language when responding to posts. Already there is a trust issue, you wouldn't want to compound it with a personality issue.

I suppose you should be a little bit sublime in responding to others post. I suggest you better learn some manners. Probably the trust in OPs post has now strengthened.
This language proves everyone else right but you. Happy Trading on TE ^o

when interacting in forums u need to learn manners, doesnt matter how xxx you are at home.We all know desi stuff here . The best part would be if accept your mistakes .You in your heart know pretty well that you are guilty

[mod]Its better that you dont retaliate with your extensive knowledge of 'desi' stuff.[/mod]

its on another forum . he mentioned the product in perfect condition with 18 months of warranty pending with no defects whatsoever. He told me he has purchased it from nehru place and will provide the bill. But till date aftr several pms m still awaiting for the bill.I paid him 950/- bucks.

didn't want to say anything, but the above post made me. Looks like zonar has gotten away with intentionally defrauding a lot of members not only on one forum but two to three of them.

i believe he should not be given any right to make any market posts in TE any more. This would be for the safety of the community. I have not asked for a ban, just that he should not be able to post any FS threads in the market lest he tries something similar again.

Its the mods call to make, but given the circumstances, I agree with 6pack. Better safe than sorry. If he is really here for the Tech part of the forum (which is what TE encourages), then lack of market privileges for a while should not be too of a bother for him. Maybe when he made up some reputation he can get back the privileges, otherwise when the next time someone is duped and the mods question him, I guess this is what the mods are gonna get in reply.

I think we have enough evidence now, I would suggest a mod reopens his market thread with a link to this one, so that people have fair warning and deal with him at their risk.

I was a little lucky here...I had contacted him first and he had pmed me his bank details...but since the bank details were not complete I couldn't transfer the money and someone else took the item....I think the item was a CX 500:)

I agree with this post totally but I also I understand the point raised by the mods and PP regarding the lack of information provided by the OP. Again, this issue I guess has been pretty much dealt with already considering the posts by the mods in the thread.

However, I feel that there needs to be a bit more regulation in the market section especially Member's Market section (even though this might end up being additional responsibility on the mods, and something which has already been disclaimed by TE). One approach would be to put some kind of flagging system which immediately makes the user who is under scrutiny unable to post in the FS threads and his threads closed until the issue is resolved as well as some identifiable icon or tag on each of the posts made by the user. This sort of system too can also be exploited but I think that genuine users (whether they be sellers or buyers) will benefit regardless of the inconvenience that might result from it.

I post in a lot more aggressive forums which don't care for personal insults or slurs or such but I feel that even the worst insults made in a post in any messageboard don't come close to being cheated in real life, which is why this sort of situation needs greater regulation.

P.S;

There was one guy who I considered my friend at a time who borrowed 3k from me about 5 years ago and I ended up calling up several times over a period of a year each time feeling humiliated myself for asking someone for an amount that would not have made zero difference to me as far as my life is concerned. Yet, even after so much time I still have not been able to let it go. There are other instances I could mention but my point is that betrayal of trust/being cheated is a far worse thing than losing money and as such in such cases even "guilty until proven innocent" would be a good way to go. After all it is not the judicial system we are talking about here.
