Corsair XMS3 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
Gigabyte EP45T UD3LR Mobo
Cooler Master Extreme Power Duo 600 Watt PSU
Antec 900 Cabinet.
8600GT 512 Mb Graphic Card...

I m Gonna Buy a new Graphic Card Worth 9.5 K (still deciding which one)

Is my PSU Up to the Mark. if Not then Y ????
I posted saying i wanna Buy A new GPU ,PPL said Change ur PSU ??? so i m Terribly confused :S..PLZ help :'(

Well, people told you to change your PSU as the Extreme series of CM PSU is very bad. People here have mentioned that it can't take half of mentioned load.

For rest let tech experts advise.

I could not respond to your PM. I'd rather put my 2 cents here.

1. Change your power supply if you are investing in a GPU worth that much. The trusty old Corsair VX450 should be a good bet at 3.7k odd.

2. As to why your power supply is not 'Up to the Mark', it is essentially a 500W power supply manufactured by Seventeam with the Coolermaster rebranding, uses low-end components compared to other decent power supplies, has a lot of ripple on the lines and has a low efficiency. Read up more if you want to know why it is disregarded.

Well as Desecrator said those are the reason for ppl shunning CM extreme power series.

Assuming that you are gonna get a HD5770 for 9.5k, your options are,
Corsair CX400 ~ 2.7k (3 yrs warranty, 80+ certified)
SeaSonic S12II 430W SMPS - 3250/- (3 yrs warranty, 80+ bronze certified)

Overclock3D :: Review :: Seasonic S12II SS-430GB 430w ATX PSU :: Introduction & Specifications

As Desecrator suggested the ever popular VX450 :)

Go for any of the three depending on the budget.

imo, you dont need to change your psu. i assume you are going to get a 5series gpu like 5770 or something.

your current psu which is a seventeam st500bkp will handle your rig with a gpu easily.

Thanks For all those Comments.. But so many Mixed reviews .. I M so Confused... :S .....

Please Be more Specific ..... Wat Would happen If i dont change the PSU . and buy 5770 or above GPU ?????

Wat is Actually Wrong With Cooler Master 600 W extreme Power (Will it damage My PC) ???? Wat is Seven Team ?????

My budget Doesn't at this time allow me to to put more than 9.5 K... I was to Buy a new Graphic Card in 3 days. bt the post Saying "Change ur PSU" in the Graphic Cards Section Messed me up.... PLZ ADVICE ... :'(

Hey guys i think that he can run a 5770 with his psu.
Its a 600W CM psu with ok efficiency
you can go for a 5770 at 9k and it has low tdp and then buy a new psu after sometime or sell your current psu and get a new vx450

a Cooler Master Extreme Power Duo 600 Watt PSU can handle a 5770 ....so buy a GPU now and a vx 450 later.....or go for a 2nd hand vx450 now ......

IT might handle, but the problem is the PSU being unreliable, its will be a risk, as the load increases. Its upto you to decide, whether or not to take the risk.

It might surely run. SO get the card, and upgrade the PSU asap, within a month or two, before it fails or kills anythin.
