News BlackBerry Messenger coming to Android and iOS on 27th June

BlackBerry had confirmed that they will be releasing the BlackBerry Messenger for iOS and Android OS in May, to make it cross platform compatible, but they didn't confirm the release date. Now it looks like it will be releasing on June 27th.

T-MobileUK has tweeted that the BBM will be releasing for Android and iOS devices on June 27th.



The account @TMobileUK is the official twitter account of T Mobile UK , so its very much possible that the information is true. But it is a bit odd that the release date came from T-Mobile and not Blackberry.

The BlackBerry Messenger will be released for Android devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and higher and for Apple devices running iOS 6 or higher. The Android and iOS version of BBM will only allow cross-platform chat, other features like group chat, voice calls etc will not be there for now.

So are you excited about BBM coming to Android and iOS ?
