hi.

recently at work i have got an exatt 256k account from the local cable guy. since the time i have bougjt the pack, i am unable to get speeds, all that i get is btw 15 to 21k max. this is not 256k ul, i have been calling exatt daily and someone or the other tells me that we need to chk the server at the operators end or at day i would get only this speeds and would be full at night and the worse thing, their supperiors donot answer the calls nor come on the phone.

can some of u tell me ur experiences with exatt?

atleast at home i am lucky getting 2 mbps from a wimax provider and that i need not worry there but work connection matters, as sometimes i need to download some stuff like presentations, etc.
 
15 to 21 kbps that u get for downloads is the MAX exatt shoots up...i get 22-23 constant and 31-32 @ nite on the 256 line of exatt.
 
@raj : im @ andheri ........dammm and i must say...nothing is as pathetic as exatnet in da rains....expect ur connection to be down 90% of the time.

well i am located near princes street in mumbai and atleast have no downtiems. now adding further, i called exatt today and i blasted the guy on their customer support that i would be going to the consumer courts if my speeds are not fine in the next 24 hrs. hearing this, they have done something and have increased my uploads, as i jus tried testing my speeds when the guy called and asked me to chk, i was still downloading in btw 15 and 21k and uploading @ 300k.........what the hell have they done????

you connected thru WaveNet?? coz i was usnig exatt for almost 1.5yrs and had a horrible exp with them!!

exatt is the most hopeless n pathetic isp out there...their customer support is non existant...if you call them you'll be put on hold forever and if someone attends to the call you'll get all vague and crap explanations...

and a standard answer is they'll have to check with the local cable op...coz there might a server problem....and i have used te 256k n 512k packs and always got between 20-24 and 40-45 respectively...

i have called their customer support numerous times but is just a waste of time n money coz they never solve any problems....

its best to stay away from the crap called Exatt!! even their website is down since a week!

And same horrid xperience that u had !!

M changin nxt month.. looking for othr options in my area (Sion).

Well, Exatt was never this bad about 10 months back. Lol.

My Cable Operator, stopped supplying them, I guess for this reason.

Why I had it, it was the best ISP, I had, period.

32kBps Constant, upload @ 32kBps as well, and Pings to all servers were sexy low!
 
I'm in pune and since 1-2 months they've capped all 256k u/l connections at 22kB/s. This is for sure since earlier I used to get 30kB/s constant, now never over 21-22. Also I logged into some other people's accounts which were 256k 10gb limit or 100gb limit, on those connections im getting full 30kB/s.
 
talking to exatt makes no sense as according to their customer care if i am getting 18 to 21k then its perfect for a 256k ul account.....wonder if they have learnt maths....secondly since yesterday when i tried downloading updates for my norton 2005, with download acclr i got only 10k and when i chk the bandwidth on testmy.net - speed test and broadband tools i get 88k and shows i can download at 11k which is the speed i get on a 256k account.

btw, i today was downloading some ebook on torrents and my speeds on download were 10k and uploads were as high as 400 to 600k, i downloaded a 30mb ebook and uploaded almost 300+ in the time it downloaded....what is exatt doing here????

i have finally decided to goto the consumer courts as talking to exatt is more frustrative and leading to no result, suggest guys is this the right course of action? i use this connection only for work and not for personal use like downloading movies, etc.
 
^^ that exatt is made up of a bunch of as***les....their senior person is a guy call Mohan who thinks no end of himself....

if you ever happen to talk to Mohan he'll give u the most ridiculous of explanations.....

those b@st@*ds at exatt need a good lesson in courtesy too...
 
even i'm fed up of exatt...its down most of the time...and cutomer service gives weird responses every time i call them
