Hi,

I recently installed my HD 6850 and after installing latest drivers and on my highest resolution 1366x768.. the screen looks blurry.. all the text, graphics aren't sharp..

i use VGA-DVI adapter to connect my monitor .. Is this issue of adapter ? Did anyone face similar blurry texts and screen ? :(

I didnt... I will search a remedy for you.. definitely not a gpu issue... I am running on 1600x900 reso

You updated the drivers right???

If yes, then

1. Did you overwrite the previously installed drivers ?? or
2. Uninstalled those old drivers completely before installing new one??

The second option is the one which is to be followed as suggested by AMD.

after i installed the card on pci-e slot, i downloaded the new drivers from amd website.. i installed it and computer rebooted.. then i see hazzy / blurry text and graphics as compared to previous text on intel g31 graphics.. also, my old HD 4670 didn't had such problems..

is the adapter culprit ? or, shall i go and check it on a new monitor ?

Make sure that the ATI Catalyst Control Center's Adaptive AA and Morphological AA settings are off.

maybe this can help you http://www.techenclave.com/operating-systems/windows-7-blurry-text-problem-173583.html

whats the refresh rate of your monitor? Try setting it to default and make monitor adjust automatically if any option on monitor itself.. You must be using catalyst center 11.6, But i haven't found any problem particularly with this update.

Hey Chirag, thanks man for your effort :D... but it got solved. ... LOL.. i just pressed auto-config in monitor panel.. and the text looked as sharp as before .. thanks man for trying to helping me out :)

cheers !! i am going to install 30 games in my pc now :D

All the symptoms, check!

- Go to CCC (right click on desktop and open)
- Open under Advanced Mode
- Under Video Settings, "UNTICK" the option "Use MLAA"

EDIT:
