Clearly a case of self deceit and holier than thou attitude. I wish the court would levy punitive fines on this lady for wasting the police and courts time.
Some time back, a ICICI official was given punishment for wasting courts time in a similar manner. Apparently, they filed a case against a loan defaulter, but in the mean time recovered surety from him and didn't bother to get the case closed. The judge got pissed asked the ICICI person responsible for this to stand in court till the end of the sessions for the day and also pay a fine of 1.5 Lac for wasting the courts time. Same in an RTI case where the RTI applicant who was a lawyer was levied a punitive fine of 5 Lac for wasting courts time.
