bought AMD LAPTOP let me know how is it will it run Vista?
it has components as follows:
AMD Turion 64 @ 1.86Ghz
1GB DDR RAM, WIFI, CARD READER
80GIG HDD
DVD-WRITER CUM DVD-RAM DRIVE (DONNO WATS THE USE OF DVD RAM)
15.5inches WIDE SCREEN BRIGHT
HP BRAND MODEL : HP PAVILION DV5000
its very fast. :)

PS:ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO SETUP WI-FI NETWORK ? I HAVE A PC 4 WHICH I BOUGHT WI-FI CARD OF DLINK. I CAN CONNECT BY AD-HOC METHOD BY P2P. IM ABLE TO CONNECT THE PC'S BUT HOW TO TRANSFER DATA BETWEEN THEM AND SHARE INTERNET CONNECTION?

thanks for ur comment josh.anu :) i think vista shall workk. pls someone help sharing files between my laptop n pc i have wifi in both.
 
vista might not work if it has sis mirage video, atleast not with full eye candy on.

amd most prob it ll hv sis video.

DVD RAM is used in DV HANDY CAMS
 
You guys need a wireless router to take advantage of the notebook's wifi feature... I recommend the Netgear WGR614 v6, should cost around 2.5 to 3k.
 
do u know somehting about AD-HOC? peer 2 peer wifi. with ad-hoc one can connect to 11mbps and i can do that. but cant share. i dono how to share files. guide me for AD-HOC

But i doubt dedicated ATI... Its ATI Mobility ??? Then i think it is shared... Just confirm..

Will just check up on WiFi and let u know...
 
Its probably Radeon IGP i guess unless u got a HM version. Do ATI use HM in laptops? But if its SM 2.0 then its DX9. Enuff for Vista.
