hi...
two days back i bought the fone...my first android:hap2:
earlier i used java/symbian based fones..now im a total noob in android..
i want to customize my fone to make it look nice...searched for themes and found people talking about live wallpapers, and for that we have to root the device..now many complained that they lost their IMEI doing so.. for the time being im not ready to root the fone as its new..
so guys is there any way out to get some themes/live wallpapers to make it work without rooting,(i may sound foolish:()
also can u suggest me some essential 'must have' software's for android..

Try ADWLauncher or Launcher Pro for themes.

yeah downloaded launcher pro..trying to figure out the settings..seems very messed up!!
 
try downloading angry birds lite beta awesome game. haven't played it myself since I don't have an android phone , but looks cool.
 
Lost APN settings

I rooted my i5801 and could use live wallpapers too.

Then, I wanted to disable GPRS when not in use, so I downloaded APN On-Off app from the market. It toggled APN fine at the first go, but couldn't retrieve APN settings afterwards. I lost APN settings and unable to connect to GPRS since! The dreaded app took away all the fun indeed. :(

I even reset all the settings to factory default and tried to manually enter APN settings, but still no GPRS! Can anyone please help!

1. How can I retrieve my APN settings, if at all?

2. Is there any reliable APN toggle app in the market which doesn't screw your APN settings permanently?

3. Is there anyone from Pune, India using IDEA GPRS? If yes, can you please send me all the APN settings thru PM? I would be really grateful..
