Metalloid Aluminum. From what I know, it is (see the link posted); but as I said, it's best to double-check with Dell India to be a hundred percent sure.
 
Another question, is this with the backlit keyboard? The Dell India site charges extra for the backlit keyboard and its not included in the base model of the XPS 14 so I am asking.

My bad...I thought when you mentioned "Currently in US...flying blah blah" I thought u were speaking of the laptop as a person....and also coz you had not put up actual pix of the lappy box at that time.
