Thought we could have a list of all the brands that you can buy officially here, but lack a service centre. The problem arises when they diagnose the problem via email, approve the RMA, but you have to return the item to local seller and get refund from them, or worse ship it to another country. So their warranty is just theoretical
Thrustmaster: makes nice products, but used faulty sensors that go bad. TM support approved RMA and told me to get refund from Amazon which is a PITA
Sabrent: my 1TB NVMe suddenly stopped working. They wanted me to ship it to US for a replacement, covering shipping both ways (they could ship the replacement to a US address only). I could just buy a new one instead for that amount
So basically you buy a new product officially, pay GST, and yet don't get full consumer protection as with other brands. It would make more sense to buy grey market stuff lol. If you know any such brands with shady practises, add them below.
