Defending champions Brazil retained their Copa America crown in style with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over arch rivals Argentina in Venezuela giving them an eighth title.
Julio Baptista gave the Samba stars an early lead after just four minutes, and Dunga's men never looked back from then on.

Argentina skipper Roberto Ayala put through his own net five minutes from half time to double Brazil's advantage, and substitute Daniel Alves sealed the victory with a third on 69 minutes.
Not only was it the usual grudge match between the two nations at a packed Jose Encarnacion Romero Stadium, but it was a rematch of the last final in Peru, meaning Argentina also had revenge on their minds.
However, the pre-tournament favourites were stunned early on as Elano's long ball from the right found Julio Baptista at the edge of the box.
The former Arsenal man squared up Roberto Ayala, and a simply shifted the ball onto his right foot before unleashing a devilish strike that flew past Roberto Abbondanzieri in the Argentinian net.
Argentina responded immediately and almost drew level just four minutes later when Juan Sebastian Veron's knockdown feel to Juan Roman Riquelme, whose left-footed effort beat Doni all ends up but smacked into the near post and away to safety.
Doni then had to be at his best to deny Riquelme again, diving to his left to palm away a curling effort from the edge of the box after Carlos Tevez had looked to twist his way through.
With the game finely poised, the crucial moment came five minutes before the interval, when Daniel Alves whipped in a dangerous cross from the right and a sliding Ayala poked the ball into his own net at the near post, with Abbondanzieri stranded.
Argentina tried to hit back in the second half, but rarely tested Doni and looked to have a lack of creativity, although Brazil defended well at the edge of their box to deny substitute Pablo Aimar.
Brazil were playing on the counter attack and they cut right through Argentina on 69 minutes when Vagner Love slipped Alves in on the right edge of the box, and the Sevilla man slotted the ball expertly beyond Abbondanzieri into the far corner.
Dunga's much-maligned Brazil side coasted to a fine victory which will vindicate his style of play somewhat, as Brazil claimed an eighth Copa America, and a fourth in five years as they continue to dominate in recent times.

The Bad thing about this is Daniel Alves scoring, which makes him a couple of pounds more costlier for Chelsea :@.And baptista can play anywhere except in England .

actually i saw the match and baptista scoring was just a flash in the pan ...after the goal he went back to his shitty self

^He scored earlier too, and he isnt $hit he's just plain lazy.

He scored 25 goals for sevilla 2 seasons before, remember??

And its high time some good team came in for Vagner Love, the poor guys been rotting in Moscow for quite some time.

Argentina just got scared and nervous, messi was a pale shadow of himself and even tevez couldn't muster up anything...its like playing Australia in the finals..they rarely ever lose a final, same with Brazil

he just has a bad first touch....its so bad he takes a touch nad its near the goalkeeper before he can hit the second time ....plus his problem with arsenal that he said was that he is not getting enuf time to show his stepovers and his skillz...watever that meant ... i seriously dont want to see him doing bicycle kicks

baptista sucks... and i wanted argentina to win the copa but they didn't so baptista suck a bit more now :P

i dunno why but for a long time i have been following international football.

but argentina have not shown the good results for a long time they are becoming like Indian Cricket team big promises on paper but when on field they are toilet papers :P

anyways brazil are worthy champions.

And they did it without Kaka and Ronaldinho , it wud have been more entertaining to see these two to join the fun.

robinho scored the max goals in copa ameria.

I really feel that Argentina can perform much better , but felt like it was Brazils Day
