Breakind DSL speed.

man reliance has been taking thier own sweet time to bring out BB..

i think unbundling the local loop should do the trick.. but then again would it be that mroe people would be fleeced by the private operators or is it that only bsnl and mtnl would have that monopoly?? lol

dsl speed depends on the distance from ur isp to your house, maybe your friend lives near your isp's dsl server.
i dont think that would make a difference of 1mbps....:P...the latency is affected tough..

I just wish Reliance would enter into the fray in a big way. Then prices will drop like they did in cellular
me too hope reliance enters the scenerio...i really hope for some justice atleast on internet cost...am already pissed off by the way these political morons have raised more than 25 rs in ~4 years for 1 ltr or petrol...:@

All I can say is: God bless America!Though seriously even a 256K isn't bad for browsing and shit. Most of ur bandwidth is used for torrents anyways right? And they don't always utilize the available bandwidth.

U haven't seen the latency rates here. Just check out this screenshot

can u believe latency of 500 ms & that's the average. I think now u'll change u'r mind. Although the regulator is pushing for changes as seen here as well as here

^^The net is down for 6 hrs on average where in my home here, on the Sify 256k connection I have. Three years ago I hadn't seen speeds in excess of 32kbps, so I have seen the worst and thankfully am yet to see the best, with Verizon FIOS and Comcast pushing the envelope 100Mbps+ is soon gonna be a reality.

ya but not here dude!

only recently did a 256kbps u/l become a reality for india..(through bsnl) ...

even 1mbps conx here would take quite a few years!

trai reminds me of my school teachers.. we all listen but dont care what the hell she's saying!!
