I was shocked to read the news in the papers... He was a great asset to cricket... One of the best coaches and cricketing brains the sport had...

Rest In Peace

Severe heartattacks can cause nose bleeds...

Wonder if they will conduct a post mortem...That will reveal in a jiffy if it was poisoning...

Now intl coaches wont lineup for this post....

Rest in peace woolmer....

As per Jamaican law an autopsy is compulsory.... We will know the reason for his death soon...

Doctors have attributed it to stress and heart attack...

Very sad to learn about Woolmer. I don't buy the story that he died of natural causes. Woolmer seemed too tough a man to get upset and take his life over a game. He's a south african for gods' sake. Those guys are tough.

Maybe he had some dirt on kickbacks received by the Pak cricket team...maybe some bookies poisoned him after the match result cuz they lost a lotta money...who knows? At this point, we can only wait for the coroner's report.

hahaha the tableeghi jamat aka. Pak cricket team. aka. Islamiya jhamuriya-e-kirkit poisoned their own coach. This is all a ploy by Inzamam to get arrested in Jamaica so he does'nt have to go back to Pakistan.

Public bahut mareygi. Allah reham karey.

Dude atleast have some respect for the dead...

Yes, that was insensitive on my part.

Heres a list of likely suspects I picked up from a Pakistani forum

-Bookies (might have been sour at Pakistan's first round exit, as they wont have the opportunity to take odds for Pakistan in the second round onwards)

-Dawood Ibrahim (things didnt happen as he had planned)

-RAW (to unsettle Pakistani team, considering the murder might have been planned before the WC started)

-ISI (Bob was taking over PCB)

-CIA (to pressure Pakistan to help them in Afghanistan)

-Mossad (to defame Pakistan)

Its just a suspicion...but increasingly probable...

Police are now treating Bob Woolmer's death as suspicious, Mark Shields, the deputy commissioner of police, told a news conference in Jamaica. A full-scale investigation has been ordered.

"We have already informed the Woolmer family of these developments," Shields said. "Having met with the pathologists, our medical personnel and investigators, there is now sufficient information to continue a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Woolmer, which we are now treating as suspicious."

However, unconfirmed reports suggested Woolmer might have been murdered because marks were found around his neck.

Shields said the police had been in close contact with the Pakistan team management, the Cricket World Cup committee and the ICC, but he would not speculate on the cause of Woolmer's death. "It would be inappropriate for me to make any comment at this stage as we have still not got the final official report from the pathologists," he said.

Talat Ali, the Pakistan team manager, told Geo TV they had not been given full details by the police. "They have not made any reference to poisoning or anything yet, as some reports are suggesting," Ali said. "There is no information at all that this poison could be involved. Investigations will carry on so we cannot come to any conclusions right now."

Ali denied Pakistan were not allowed to travel. "There are no police restrictions on the team," he said. "As planned for now, we are flying back on Saturday."

Woolmer, 58, was found unconscious in his hotel room on Sunday and pronounced dead shortly after at a Jamaica hospital. Woolmer's family said after speaking to doctors they expected his death came from a stress-related heart attack.

His wife Gill told CNN-IBN, an Indian news channel, he did not complain of any chest pain after the match. An autopsy completed on Tuesday was inconclusive, but investigators were waiting for the results of toxicology tests to see if they helped determine the cause.

cricinfo.............

just got todays newspaper. the headlines is that Poison was found in the room. Police started murder investigation.

Just what can be expected from pakistanis....

some news ppl claiming....pakistan defeat against ireland was fixed..and bob came to knew about it..........and so was murdered.......new angle

Bob wife said she didn't see any foul - (though Jamaica Police/Reporter said that they can see finger prints over bobs neck and his mouth was wide open - - ) another fixing by Bobs wife - hey bhagwan kis par bharosa kare

PS: there is certain type of Poison/Toxic chemical which left no tress in Body after 24 hrs (Bobs autopsy made after 48 hrs of his death)

Pakistani Team Fly back to home (Pak), now I didn't expect any MEANINGFUL findings by Jamaican Police. All Investigation is AS FIXED AS THE MATCHES.

obvious icc trying to cover the act since its obvious cricketers were involved..........and if at this stage its reveal who did it.....than icc will loose crore of dollars including Wi which is already on bankruptcy path......

if something seriously is disclose.....and if pakistan doesnt co-operte in hnding over the persons...thn i guess icc should bn pakistan from internationl cricket.......

the diplomat from washington was sended only becoz to send pak team back.....it is heard that he gave a lot of words to jamaican police
