Bridging/Routing Help

as shown in the figure.... there are 2 networks
i want to access files(ip's for tht matter) between the networks..
how do i interconnect them?? on a win 2k server?
the server has 2 lan connections..(1 from each network)

Hi

i assume that you have connected the PC-2,3,4,5 with switch.

You need to use Microsoft's RRAS service for this. You need to install it from the Windows Components in Add/Remove apps. Once installed, a configuration wizard will walk you through what you want to set the Server up as.

After configuration done u would be able to pass through each other.

Yes. By default, RRAS is installed but not enabled or configured.
The red symbol inside the circle just to the left of the server name indicates the RRAS service is not started on this machine.

yup guys it works.. but about the server... should i hook it up on a wan port...?? or lan?

Hook up on LAN port of the Wifi router. In that case your server & ur PC will be on the same network.
