Bringing a LCD on a flight

I just bought a Dell 22" lcd here, and for some reason I have to get back to India by the end of the next month.

I was wondering how I could bring it along ? I could shove the LCD stand inside my check in baggage, but I need to bring the LCD itself somehow into the check in baggage.

It seems to be around 5KG without the stand.

Or should I bring it along in my check-in baggage too ?

Any help from someone who has done this would be appreciated.

check in with its original box itself

may be a little heavy but atleast it will be safe that way

There is a chance of it getting stolen from the checked in baggage.

i helped a friend get a 32 inch lcd from dubai to india... i got it in the luggauge... you cannot get in check in i mean the bag u take with urself.. baggage...
