Could anyone help me out with this? Does anyone know if the game Brink will available here because, if not, I might go and pre-order it at Steam.

It might be Steam supported too, meaning we can buy it on retail price and still activate it over steam. That would be brilliant. I am guessing this since it will be distributed by Valve.

Valve is the distributor of boxed copies in India? had no idea about it. lol Thanks for the replies everyone. In general, how long does it take for the games to reach stands? I doubt they will be available right on the day of release.

You from Chandigarh too? I think it will be available on Flipkart too. You can always pre-order from them. They will ship it to you as soon as it is available in India.

Yes. Checked Flipkart, they have only the PS3 version listed right now. Anyway, I prefer Music World, the customer service is great.

yeah that way is better for us, orange box Rs. 700, what an amazing deal man.

if brink multiplayer is as awesome as the trailers, and if you guys also decide to go ahead, I see myself picking this up(or maybe through flipkart)

This game is from Splash Damage, the folks behind two of the most hardcore competitive multiplayer fps titles out there. Trust me, it'll rock.

Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory and Quake Wars:Enemy Territory.

Wolf:ET was released by Splash Damage, for free when Activision pulled the plug on it, in 2004. It is still amongst the top 3 most played fps on the pc.

Quake Wars was released in 2007 and is played competitively. It has a demo.

Their games are more about cognition than twitch skills (unlike, say, your CoDs and Counter Strikes) which makes every match you play, unique. The meta-game of these is what has ensured their longevity. Believe me, the CoDs and Halos are nothing compared to their games.

i get the feeling that 2 threads got merged here or something because some of the replies don't make sense.

brink is published by bethesda, not valve. it will be released for ps3 and 360 in india, but it is confirmed that the pc version will not be coming here. it is also a steamworks game, so buying the pc version from anywhere else will link to steam.

the only options for us indians to get the pc version of brink are -

1. import the pc version

2. pre-order from steam

3. pre-order from some other digital distribution site. the reason i mention this is because direct2drive is having an easter sale this weekend where all their games are 25% off when you apply the promo code BUNNY. however, brink is region locked for us on the site, but if you have a friend in america or britain, you can ask them to gift it to you and pay them through paypal or something. it comes out to ~37$ after discount, which i believe is the cheapest it will be available for before release.
