Broadband Penetration in India goes deeper and deeper

Its glad to see that nowdays more and more private companies are coming with broadband service. Broadband connections in India has been increasing sharply with so many companies coming with different types of plans.

Top Internet service providers in India are :

BSNL
MTNL
Airtel
Reliance
TATA Telecom

As nowdays we see a computer in almost every home. so will be situation with internet connections within 2-5 years from now.
 
Yeah all those dude u 've mentioned are bunch of a oles who can only provide crappy limited plans except for bsnl cuz it doesnt have any Fup policy like the others still waiting for railwire to hit chennai
 
broadband in india sucks buddy...i dont even kno why they call in BROADBAND...it shud be more like GAYBAND or sum shyt.... Why the hell do they have that FUP crap when I pay nearly 1.2k for a 256 KBps UNLIMITED connection ??? WTF does UNLIMITED mean ???

BB will never ever improve in India... Absorbent Rates compiled with service from some other planet is never gona do good to any of us...Even Pakistan has faster net then us...we might as well get Broadband connections from Abroad or something like that :/

Hi...may I ask what does FUP mean ?
 
I here in Shanghai pay 150 RMB (approx 1100 rs) for a 2 Mbps Unlimited connection with 600 kbps upload speed. God this is helping in getting my BWT ratios better :D
 
Even China with a larger population than us has better broadband , our BB companies are just shameless and PSU ones are too lazy/corrupt
 
We should use reverse psychology on these govt babus... incite patriotism in them by telling them that the Chinese are laughing at us Indians because their broadband is faster and cheaper than ours, then they might do something about it :D

hey guys i have a doubt railwire is offering like 2mb ul for 1220RS will this plan change if they expand thier reach acrooss the nation?
 
Got a call from TataIndicom customer care 2 days ago that goes like this:

(I am using TataIndicom WiMax 256kbps unlimited connection)

Lady: Sir, you have exceeded the 45GB limit in your 256kbps unlimited connection.

Me: What limit? When I took the connection, I was told it was unlimited!

Lady: From February onwards, the schemes have changed. This is according to Trai guidance. So, I request you to reduce your data usage.

Me: What will happen if I exceed the limit?

Lady: You will face disruption in service.

Me: Ok. I want to disconnect my connection.

Lady: But sir, all ISPs have implemented this limit.

Me: Ok. I will check if that is true.

Lady: Sir, I suggest you to go to a higher speed-higher limit plan.

Me: No thanks.

Hung up, checked my usage in their site and found that I have used 38 GB this month (21 April-19 May). There was only one more day to complete one month (their billing is on every 21st or 20th). I had some 7GB remaining for that month with only one more day to ago, and still they wanted me to reduce usage or go for higher plan.:@

Till now, I don't think I was downloading more than 25 GB per month. But now I have a limit to reach, must download 45 GB to get maximum value for the 828 Rs. I pay.:ohyeah:
 
india is one of those countries which lies in the bottom of the chart when it comes to broadband quality,quantity and pricing!!!!it's almost sickening...
