I got a 3g bsnl sim yesterday. Changed the APN settings to BSNLNET. 3g started working. Am using a desire HD, and using USB tethering mode. Download speeds are 4-8 KBps per seconds!!! What should I do. Sometimes they go as high as 20 KBps per second, when the phone displays H. Now freqently net connection is dropping.
Customer care is as usual non responsive. Please help. Wanted to take full use of 7 day free internet.
Also I have written the following mail to the nodal officer and appelate authority.
Dear Sir,
I am residing in Thapar Nagar locality and yesterday I purchased a
BSNL 3G sim from your Shastri Nagar office in Meerut.
The connection was taken to take benefit of the 3g internet services
with promised speeds upto 3.6 Mbps.
Also I took the connection under the scheme of unlimited data download
for first 7 days.
The problem is that the 3g connection is not giving download speeds of
more than 4KBps which is nowhere near the advertised speeds.
My APN settings are correct and am getting very low signals on the 3g
network. I am using a 3g/HSDPA enabled HTC desire HD handset.
I've tried to contact your customer care by all means possible but
unable to get in touch.
On 123: The call gets disconnected automatically whenever I press 6 to
speak with a customer service representative.
On 1503: No one picks up the call.
On 9400024365: The call cannot be completed at the moment message is
coming from yesterday.
On 18001801503: All lines are busy message coming from yesterday.
So in short, there is no way I can lodge a complaint while speaking
with customer care, that has forced me to write to you expecting a
quick resolution to my complaint.
Requesting you to personally look into the matter at the earliest as I
feel cheated, and resolve the same so that I can take use of the
conncection.
Also would request you to restart my 7 day unlimited data download
benefit after my conncectivity issues are resolved.
Please acknowledge the receipt of the mail.

Please advice guys. Also I have noted that while using the wifi hotspot mode on desire hd, the speeds are marginally better. (Read 10-12 KBps).
