BSNL EVDO - speed cap

Hello friends ....

I bought EVDO at 25 feb 2009 ,at that time speed really very good,my downloading speed is near about 1.8 Mbps .

But from april is not well,i get speed near about 0.5 Mbps ,speed is not going up, it stick to 0.5 Mbps .

I called CC but they said server upgradation is start ,from a month they only upgrade their server :@

A technical team ??? of BSNL come to my home to check my EVDO ,and then they say "jitne user jada utna kam speed" .

And after 2-3 days they reply me its a signal problem and not solve upto a month,if u want then shutdown ur EVDO connection (Jab sab kuch aacha chal raha tha to inko kaadi karne kisne bola tha :@ )...

So guys what should i do now ???
 
^^ lol there is nothing you can do there man. BSNL has the worst CC, you should have done a bit of research before taking up their services.

This is always the case with BSNL..very slow or no reaction at all. Taking them to court may or may not solve your problem. Try talking to the nodal officer in your area. It might help.

Okkkk....

I take BSNL service bcoz only their service available in our area.

And this problem is only in our area not in other area ....

Can I complain about this to TRAI ???

u need to get in touch with the nodal officer of ur area. he will be the best bet. trai is not going to help in this matter.

I ask about this to nodal officer but he don't not know what to do .....

and like bitsandpieces said earlier.. TRAI wont do anything, :hap5:

^^ good idea.. it might work.. but even that dint help in my case.. i had the BSNL 256 UL conn..the speeds were rock solid 256, then i upgraded to 512 conn again the speeds were rocksolid 256, then i upgraded to 2mbps again the speed was rocksolid 256, so in the end i had to get back to the 256 conn to save my money.. when asked the bsnl guys bout this problem.. they said "U Young PPL dont know what true BroadBand is, BroadBand is 256 Kbps..and thats the only conn we can give.. so when i asked what does that 2 mbps & 512 conn mean.. they said that we can get anywhere from 256 to 512kbps or 2mbps.. and that we were getting the minimum 256 kbps.. so whats there to complain bout.. i was pulling my hair out when i heard their reply.. even wrote many complaints.. but the answer was same..so i have no other option but to be stuck with this stupid conn.. and that EVDO thing is completly unknown to the bsnl staff here.... heh now that i think of it.. these ppl never had anything above 256 here so they might be thinking that its the best it can ever get..

neway sorry for being off topic.. just wanted to share some of my bad exp with the BSNL staff.. these ppl are complete idiots who have no clue how to run the BB infrastructure.. even their technical ppl dont know squat.. so i guess ur better off contacting some other BB.. but if thats not possible like in my case.. i guess all u can do is hope that even 0.5 mbps isnt lost..

That is how EVDO works dude.. Jitne users zyada utne kam speed.. pardon me for my Hindi.. I know of my friends who have supposedly 2Mbps unlimited connection on the EVDO.. They too are suffering lower speeds... That is the architecture of EVDO..
 
for the ISP's in INDIA the slogan is :
""Bekaar Service dena hamara janm sidh adhikaar hai""

this problem is there everywhere in India
and the problem is TRAI gets too many complaints, but they do practically nuthing about it.
so even if one tries to contact the TRAI, the mail simply bounces back.
surprisingly there were quite a few petitions started regarding this, but not many users who signed the petitions
Reason: forget it, nuthing is gunna change......

I aggry with u that "BSNL ppl are complete idiots ..."

No other BB service present in my area . so i have no choice :( ....

And 0.5 Mbps speed is not constant.Sometime speed is too low that google also not open .:@ :@

Can i file complain against BSNL to CORE ???
 
man you are yet to see worst..I used evdo for 7 moths and after that they did not refund the 1500rs DEPOSIT..same with hundreds of others..calls,complains,meeting officers nothing works
 
hey guys stop crying....
and if you seriously wanna screw BSNL.... keep on calling the SDA of your area or try to bribe the peon for his cell no and call everytime on his cell no and complain. Also in parallel submit copies of your complaints to the consumer forum and local newspapers like the Mid-Day or Mirrors.(It helps a lot)
Dont forget that its useless getting angry on them. Treat politely the workers who are actually working on that problem or coming to your home to check the issues. I know that when I was paying for a 256UL connc, these guys actually switched my speed to 512 just coz I was friendly with them... give thoda chai paani....

And when you show them that you have pinged consumer forum they WILL help you out. Kyu ki unki bhi fatti hain :)
So be sweet on face and make your 'ungli teda' to get results ;-)
 
I dont face such problem in ahmedabad. I do get 2 Mbps most of the time.

and recently they have started DYNAMIC IP. so now all ports are open in uTorrent.
