please help me troubleshoot this bsod guys......

its an IRQ conflict, happens only when i play games.......
i have not made any hardware changes but the BSOD occurs :( :(

is my GPU faulty ??????????

Remove the gpu driver using Driver Sweeper, reboot and reinstall(assuming u have the latest drivers already). Also, is the GPU OCed? In that case, try reducing the freq a notch......

most prob. it would be the rams ....can u do 1 thing pls....

drop everything @ stock and check ....it shouldnt happen i guess........processor / gpu / ram all @ stock pls...

check gaming @ all stocks and revert......

you must have made some changes to your system recently (hence the bsod),..try reverting them one by one,..that's what i do when something blows up.

so it can be cuz of my mobo, procy or GPU :(

its hard to troubleshoot then

instead of posting this u would have rebooted , got into the bios , put all back to stock and come back :) .......nothing is hard , its hard if its not tried :) .....
there is lots of things and lots of ways to troubleshoot the same.....
so lets begin with it.......1st u need to do things which manufactures dont mention abt and hence bring things down to stock

everything back to stock...

go game....stress cpu / gpu / ram......if things go back to the usual BSOD , then ! ....we can dig further and drill down one by one to the root cause....

Btw : Which mobo ?

I am having the same problem
My config
AMD X2 4800+
Asus M2v-MXSE
Sapphire ATI HD 4670
XP Pro SP2
Sometimes between games (COD world at war, Race Driver)
ALways during installation of new OS(Both During installing Vista and XP).
Happened before once when i was using Vista.(Without GPU)
So switched to Xp and problem dissappeared for a month
Now bought a new graphics card a week back.
Problem is back.

changes to the OS , during driver installation might be the root cause of the issue.....
In general :
For BSOD's the best way to see if its OS related or its hardware related , the best and fastest way is to reload OS on another partition and check on a clean OS......how long would it take ? 1 hr max. OS + basic drivers + software / app / game to check whats happening !....

Already did that!
Tried putting Vista
Installation failed.
Back to XP
Installation failed twice.
Then succeeded( Fails at different points)
Bsod occured during installation as well as after succeding.

Ok , now 2 issues in one thread :) ...

@ jitesh : u've missed on mentioning RAM of ur system , i suggest you run MEMTEST and check.....

Sorry,
But since it was the same issue i mentioned it here.
Ram test is not consistent
Failed once.
Then showed correct twice
Then failed again!

if you have more than 1 sticks of ram,..try different combinations in Memtest and locate which module has the problem,..and get it RMA'd.
