And AMD is not an 'unknown'. It's been around since the early 90s, and making their own CPUs since 1993. That's twenty years, and they had a clear lead on value for that entire period, as well as the performance lead on CPUs for three Intel generations. Don't disrespect them, they are what helps keep Intel processors affordable. If Intel was the only CPU manufacturer you'd be buying P4 for $400 today. And yes, in your kind of application, it does make sense.

I saw the intel is every where, all these years I ain't find an AMD in my circle so a little bit hesitation to go for that. But If you said that it actually perform well I could try sometime.[DOUBLEPOST=1371019106][/DOUBLEPOST]
Who installs torrent programs on a work machine? Is this for home use? It feels like thread starter wants to install every program on earth on one machine just for the sake of installing it like people at home do.

There's large number of guides and videos that we used to frequently updating ourselves so that only we're planning to install torrents

Not everyone is aware about AMD because they are not good in marketing, or in other words Intel uses different ways to sell their products in markets and inside laptops. But AMD provide very good value for money who are tight on budget. We have also seen people who moved from i5 to 8350 because it was application demand.

I suggest to use separate PC for downloading and then share tutorials/videos. Putting everything in single system will cause bottleneck for work. Also if you plan to run multiple applications (downloading/rendering/simulation etc) parallel better go for AMD which is very good in multitasking.

Now I came to a conclusion to compare all available possibilities to arrive best suited one. Here I attached a spreadsheet and requested the TE experts to analys and put your comment there so I can get a better product for my production pipeline. If you want to add anything to that spreadsheet please just do it so the community would be benefited from that.

I still don't get your objective for the pc or PC's.
Is this for one person use or multiple people?
Is this for commercial use like a design company or only for learning programs?
How many programs will run simultaneously on your pc?

we're four friends doing projects by our own. Now we are looking forward to make it as a firm so we're decided to invest and start a new firm. Some of them having i3 and core2duo processor type pc's.

...Is this for one person use or multiple people?
No its not for a single person's use.
...Is this for commercial use like a design company or only for learning programs?
Yes it is commercial as well as to learn too.

So how many PC's do you need in this budget?
The way I look at it, keep only one pc for 3d work. Once you start rendering on it, you won't be able to use it. Keep another for cad/ cam.
The existing computers your friends have can be used for web and print software. Probably just ask them to bump up the ram capacity in their machines.
