This is wht i found at another forum

CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E7500 Wolfdale 2.93GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

Motherboard: ASRock P45X3 Deluxe LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

RAM: Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

GPU: POWERCOLOR AX4870 512MD5 Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP 500W ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Case: COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Disk Drive: Sony Optiarc 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Black SATA

IMO, this is the perfect budget. After this point, the return on your money spent start to diminish. This is the sweet spot.

I swapped the AMD X3 out for an Intel dual core as I felt the HD 4870 would benefit from the better single threaded performance.

Total: $645; $625 with rebates.

What do you guys think?

I think for 35k, u can replace the E7400 with something like a 5300 or E6xxx series and save ~6-7k on mobo+proccy.
And overclock it to get the same performance as the AMD.

Ya ya the 785G is good, but u are already buying a 5770 with this, then there is nothing better than this. The amount u save can be invested in a better PSU for future upgradations. Also u get a better cabby as well with this. Add to this 4GB RAM in comparision to 2GB which would definitely give u better minimum frame rates than a AMD setup with 2GB RAM.

So, i would reccomend:
Intel E5300/6300 - 3.4k (Overclock is a must to get similar performance as the AMD. If not overclocking, get the AMD eyes closed)
Gigabyte G31M - ES2L - 2.3k
Corsair 4GB kit - 5.4k
Seagate 7200.12 500GB - 2k
Sapphire ATI 5750 - 9k
Benq G2220HD - 8k
Corsair VX450 - 4k
CM Elite 310 Cabby - 2k
Logitech Desktop - .6k

This offers u better frame rates in gaming due to the better card and higher RAM. Gives u better upgrade options and a very good PSU. And the cabby won't give u cuts like the Bijli.:p

I Completely agree with you, If overcloked an Intel E5200(3K)+ Gigabyte G31(2.3k) Total 5.5 K eaisly exceed in performance then AMD Combo suggested here, I Got the same yesterday and running it overclocked at 3.8Ghz with stock Intel Cooler.

Amd is better value at entry level where you plan to go with out a discerte graphic card or plan to buy it later, but if you are already buying a graphic card i suggest stick with intel combo which can save you lots of money which you can invest in a better graphic card that will ensure better gaming performance.

Bye
