Graphic Cards Budget graphics card

Hi guys

Need suggestion on a budget card for my home PC. Budget < 3k. Should be able to play games like Fifa 08, NFS MW etc at decent resolution (1024*768).

Thinking of either 7300GT or 8500GT (Dx 10 not needed).

Would appreciate any suggestions.

go with 8500gt even you dont need dx10 its faster then 7300gt

between both of them i wud like to go for 8500GT for better performance than any 7300GT apart from DX10 support

If u dont want really want a DX 10.0 card then check the TE Market for a 7600GT or equivalent ati card

OR for a couple more K's uyou would get the following in the TE market :

7800GTX (5k)

7900GTX(4.8K) ...

7900GT(4.5K...)

X1950(4k)

All the above cards are sans DX 10 but offer much more performance/Rs than a new 8500GT

Do check the pricing of the 8600GT also. It might exceed your budget by 1K or so but its a much better option than the 8500GT And as suggested above, try to look for a 7600GT/7600GS if available from someone.

3k is the max that I can spend. Remember its for my home PC which I use occasionally (when I go to my hometown). Otherwise I am having 8800GT with me hyeah:

u mite snap up a good 7600gt in dat price range but since ur gaming need are very moderate the 8500gt fits ur needs, both gaming and monetary wise.

Yeah.. Gaming need is limited in this case.. Plus I don't think I'll be getting a new 7600gt for 3k (unless a used one).

someone posted bout selling a used 7600GT for 2.7k i think was farcry not sure tho. :ashamed: search n u ll get it

ya an ol one was implied..if iirc one 76gt was sold around 2.2k... nehow a 8500gt with warranty shud do da trick and even fetch u more wen u sell it in da future.
