Budget 90k+ Budget rendering computer

Hey everyone!

Newbie here looking for advice. I'm looking for a new desktop computer which I'm looking to predominantly use for 3d modelling and rendering.
My budget is about a lakh of rupees, flexible to small extent.
I will have to allocate a sizable amount of money for the software part, so every rupee saved will help!
The models itself are likely to be very heavy and as such will require a good CPU, GPU and at least 16GB of ram. A decent sized monitor will do, i can always hook it up to a TV if i need a larger screen.

One major question is will i be able to fit in a basic quadro in my budget? And more importantly, is there any big improvement of using a basic quadro card instead of a regular gaming card? In real world scenario, i've actually seen very little difference when i've worked on computers with a quadro card. Is it really worth spending on these speciality cards? Looking to use Rhino and 3ds max on the computer.

Not looking to overclock or tinker with the hardware, not looking to play games or watch movies on the computer. It would be purpose built only for working.

I've not really been following the computer hardware scene in a long time now and i'm completely clueless. Looking forward to suggestions and advice! Thanks a lot in advance! Cheers!

Following are baseline specs-

i5 6600k or if you get Xeons for cheap.

1060 bare minimum

16 GB RAM

Get a SSD.
If you can afford 950 Pro or 500 GB 850 Evo/Pro.

Note NVME Motherboards are costly. So if you want a good monitor get a Sata III compliant.

2k monitor of a decent make

Thanks for the prompt reply!
Completely agree with the cpu, gfx ram and ssd.
The monitor, i'm okay with a lower res one. A simple one with IPS panel should suffice

Using your advice, did some homework and came up with this config.

Processor Intel i5-6600K / 3.90 GHz Skylake 18500
Motherboard Asus B150M-PRO-GAMING 7700
RAM Corsair vengance 2 x 8 GB 5700
GFX Asus turbo GTX 1060 24000
SSD Samsung M2. 850 EVO Series 7700
HDD 1 tb WD blue 3500
SMPS Seasonic S12 II 520W 5000
Case Corsair 100 r 3500
Monitor Dell 21.5" - S2216HV 9000
KB + Mouse Logitech generic 1000
OS Windows 10 OEM? 10000

Total - 95600

Guys, Is this a good config?
Are these items compatible with each other! :dead:
Will a quadro k620 / k1200 decrease render times substantially compared to the GTX 1060?

Thanks in advance again! Cheers!

I like the build.
1.Still skeptical about RX480 as it's power hungry.
I think Nvidia released new cheaper Quadro but you might have to import.

About GFX just check your software requirements.
Certain software work well with Nvidia and certain with AMD.
Unless you have locked on Quadro and while you are choosing between RX480 vs 1060 email the vendors of the software and ask them.So you can get better judgement.

2.I have no idea about USB 3.1 thunderbolt capable MB but it's a nice upgrade because very soon we will have -usb c pen drives/external HDD.

So if you are getting a good bargain on type C MB get it. OP plus it will be a bit future proof.

3. Don't get 750 Evo.Buy Zotac one. There's a discussion regarding same. It's a MLC and rivals 850 Evo in real life at half the price near 4.2k.Check that discussion out.

4.While buying Monitor check your software compliant sRGB/Adobe RGB values.

Note online price> delta page > brick and mortar store.

When you have final list ready go to Nehru Market or something like that in your city and try to buy all items from a same reputed shop.

They will give a nice discount.

Point noted about evo 850 and RX480. Have mailed across to the software vendors as well.

Thanks again. Will update after the build.
