Hey everyone!
Newbie here looking for advice. I'm looking for a new desktop computer which I'm looking to predominantly use for 3d modelling and rendering.
My budget is about a lakh of rupees, flexible to small extent.
I will have to allocate a sizable amount of money for the software part, so every rupee saved will help!
The models itself are likely to be very heavy and as such will require a good CPU, GPU and at least 16GB of ram. A decent sized monitor will do, i can always hook it up to a TV if i need a larger screen.
One major question is will i be able to fit in a basic quadro in my budget? And more importantly, is there any big improvement of using a basic quadro card instead of a regular gaming card? In real world scenario, i've actually seen very little difference when i've worked on computers with a quadro card. Is it really worth spending on these speciality cards? Looking to use Rhino and 3ds max on the computer.
Not looking to overclock or tinker with the hardware, not looking to play games or watch movies on the computer. It would be purpose built only for working.
I've not really been following the computer hardware scene in a long time now and i'm completely clueless. Looking forward to suggestions and advice! Thanks a lot in advance! Cheers!
