Budget 0-20k Building a new PC

   • SATA HDD 160gb
   • Keyboard - Logitech - wired

   • Following configuration is in mind based on this thread.
     

1. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future.
   • No upgrade for 2-3 years

1. Where will you buy this hardware?
   • Pune city/Online/any other suggestions are welcome as well

1. Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market
   • No

1. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
   • Browsing
   • Mostly Skype/video chat
   • Desktop Processing
   • Occasionally basic computer functions

1. Do you have any brand preference or dislike?
   • No specific preferences as far as the product quality is good and least-to-no-problems for the next few years
   • Longer warranty preferred

1. What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage

• Desktop - 1440x900, since this is how it is right now

1. Are you looking to overclock?

• No

1. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
   • Windows XP or Windows 7 - 64 bit

Basically the most VFM configuration, catering to the requirements, and most importantly reliable, is preferred. It would be good if I will not need to upgrade for longer time period with similar or a bit increased usage scenarios.

@swatkats, thanks for the reply. I am planning on 2GB RAM for now due to limited budget. Since the motherboard has more RAM slots I will think of adding more later on. Do you think, not having 4GB RAM would cause a lot of noticeable issues?

20K is actually worst case upper limit

I had a look at Logitech LS21, but decided based on this and this.
I would prefer 2x2GB instead of 1x4GB due to some issues faced with RAM in the past. So that would mean additional 1500 rupees.
