After having a look at the forum and find no game reviews, here i come with mine. This is very pathetic that such a forum has no game reviews. I just bought this game and thought of playing it with medium settings. But frankly said, it just blew me away.
I installed the game and click the exe to launch the game. As a wonder it automatically detects the settings to Medium at a resolution of 1024x768. I was happy to see that such a new game running on my PC, that too at Medium settings. Thanks EA for making the game to play on such low-end PC. And when it comes to graphics, i was amazed to see that city, which just took me away. It run w/o any hiccups and the textures were excellent. I was completely immersed with the city and even thought of mailing R* to take the city to their next GTA installment...:@

The crashes really made me crazy, and sometimes getting involved with the game, i even blaming the computer opponents too.. Now thats what called as involving in the game :D

The major aspect of every game, the gameplay. The game starts immediately after the intro movies finishes. When i first drive my car to Auto Repair station and in my way back, i see a race is on the way and pressed the A+Z to start the race. The race is mind-blowing with superb car handling, and car details too. All the races were challenging. The thing i wonder about the game is, whether is there any previious installment of the game were released for PC. I havent yet heard about such game for PC.
The next addictive part here is the bikes. The bike details were sculpted well and i prefer to ride bikes more than riding a car. Riding a bike in the roads of such awesome city is a pleasure. The races were also amazing and even better than any bike racing title.
The sound tracks were simply awesome. The intro movie itself a nice thing to mention about. Nowadays i'll completely get out of NFS Series, by giving a try on such destruction derby kinda games, like FOUC, now BOPU. Far the most, the license thing which decided by the amount of titles win by the racer is a new innovation by the developers. There is no good way other than giving a license and upgrade it according to the performance of the racer. Getting real, right?
The controls were been configurable by pressing 'Esc' and after that, press F2 twice to enter the settings. I was just configure both keyboard and Controller so that i can play with whatever i feel comfortable at the time.(There is no negative part in the game)
Final verdict, game is awesome, cool in graphics, and it doesnt require a high end PC to play it. So grab it and give it a try. Worth for the price.
Must try game for all gamers, irrespective of the genre of the game they play.. :cool2:

The overall score is 9/10...:hap2: (As per sato1986 suggestion)

Awesome game. It runs quite smoothly at 1280x1024 (My LCDs max resolution) with 8x AA. The bikes were added just for eye candy. There are no real bike races AFAIK. Only time challenge races for bikes which get boring after 5 repetitive races. The car races are kinda repetitive too, but you don't complain when there is metal to twist. Totally love the Takedown Challenges and Marked Man races. What's your favorite race?

^^ :hap2: nice review mate...

but plz reconsider the 10/10 score :P evn if u really liked the game, it wont go above 8.5 or maybe 9.....

If u liked the Immense gameplay n graphics of this game, u will surely love the Following games:

GRID (this is what i call a 10/10)

Codemaster's FUEL (To be released soon..)

Flatout 2 (Old game, but Excellent for ur config - Also features Superb Gameplay, Graphics)

...........................

i played the game on Max settings @ 4xAA n here's my review:

Cool:

1. Nice Speed wen riding bikes

2. Jumps are fun

3. Opponents are aggresive

Seriously Uncool:

1. The game ws a Huge disappointment for those who loved the Typical BurnOut gameplay - Burnout TakeDown n B. Revenge featured some supercool motionblur, NOS, takedowns which makes the Paradise version look like a Rickshaw racing a Lamborghini..

2. The Crash Camera is veryyyyy Slow n boring

PS: I have jst finished only 10-20% of game.... :ashamed:

Will Edit the review once i almost finish the game....

EDIT: Seems from above reviews tht the game does get alot better after faster cars... Lets C..

Guys, edited th Overall score.. I get over immerse with the game thats y i gave it 10/10... I am with the license B(No time to play).. What about you?

i spend my time playing GRID-Online n hence get little time for BP... i guess im on Learner's License, jst have two cars in garage.. :P

Then its sure that you are in Learners License.. BTW You still play GRID-online? How it is? I haven't yet played GRID online...

^^Dude............ ive been playing GRID online since the month i brought GRID :)

Its insanely Awesome:

Cut throat competition (U will experience PURE RACING)

Adrenaline bursting Damage (though u can enter races which have dmg off incase u r a learner)

THE BEST GAME-GRAPHICS TILL DATE.

:yeah:

PS: i know im appreciating this game too much as if i ws a fanboi, u will notice this frm my Rig images too, but for this game, im ready to be one :P :)

I disagree about the motion blur. Here's how you can enable it:
Video Options > Effects > Motion Blur=Always On + SSAO=On(SSAO lags like hell on lower end PCs):bleh:

But yeah Paradise is missing the "Aftertouch" feature which enabled the player to get a Takedown even after being taken down. And you get only one takedown at a time even if you have managed to crash 2 of them buggers.:@
I loved GRID! That game is the best racing game I ever played! The driving and the damage effects were real-world!
Added some Burnout screenies:

i had SSAO off.... so i guess i need to cut down on anti-aliasing when turning on SSAO coz yea it did lag a bit..

BTW SSAO stands for?

SSAO = Screen Space Ambient Occlusion

Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) is a rendering technique for efficiently approximating the well-known computer graphics ambient occlusion effect in real-time.

Got your motion blur, right?:hap2:

Damn ur screenshots look so cool... u play lag-free with those graphic settings?

Can u plz tell me the graphic settings tht u r using?

well i played grid too...but not my type...i am more a burnout fan..had loved playing revenge on my xbox360...and paradise is really the best car game for me...especially the takedowns and the open world feeling

I had played and completed burnout revenge on the PS2, one of the Best racing games for the PS2, with awesome graphics, speed, opponents etc, very addictive.

I liked the review....but is the game as good as the one on the PS2 ?

or is it a disappointment for people who played the Ps2 version.....

nice screenies Btw.....

Love takedowns the most and can you crash the local traffic during races ???

Its the second best racing game in my hall of fame. first
one is? guess it? yup, NFS:MW

I stopped playing the NFS series after they screwed it up with Pro-street. Yes MW was a great game. Carbon was a little too dark. Pro-street was puke inducing. For now Codemasters & Criterion rule the roster.

Well yes the game is as good as the one on PS2 comparatively (Difficult to make the comparison as there were no previous versions for PC). Only differences being, the lack of controller (if you don't have one for PC) & the aforementioned lack of the Aftertouch feature. Otherwise it's a big improvement from the previous Burnout series featuring Open world gameplay/New game modes/Repair Shops/NOS Shops/Paint Shops/Junk Yards etc. And yes, you can crash into traffic during races. Infact, the traffic tries hard to make you crash somehow when you are nearing the finish line.:P

The screenies can get a lot better if I had a better GPU. I'm currently using a 8600GT.:(

just awesome then, I have to get it.......burnout series are always great good that they even came out for the PC.....

I had played flatout 1 and 2, similar games involving crashes for the Pc, a must try....

Nice review there

I am also playing this game on my new card at highest possible graphics and getting around 50-60 FPS,

AT first I didn't believe my eyes after seeing the crashes and high details, the gameplay is engaging specially the takedown races.

Must play 9.5/10
