My phone recently got messed up, and i'm looking to buy a new phone in April/May 2014. My top pick is the HTC One, but i'm concerned about two things - Will it be future-proof (that is, will it continue to receive future Android Updates for the next couple of years?), and its camera. I know its clicker is capable enough, but will a 4 meg Ultrapixel camera be sufficient in the longer run? My other pick is the Nexus 5, it having a higher clocked and newer processor, but i'm inclined towards the One because it is, simply put, a sexy phone. I want to wait till April/May to let its prices drop further, but should i be on the look-out for a similarly specced phone which comes out during this time? I DO NOT want a samsung phone, and i'd prefer not to have a Sony, since my last one was an Xperia P. Please help me out.

CES is scheduled for Jan 14. Wait for it and check what new phones are coming.

Expect HTC One to be replaced by a new model? Maybe.?

Also, its just my personal opinion but HTC One is the most sexiest Android phone ever.

4 moths is a generation in mobile years. There will be quite a few new launches between now and then. Decide a couple of weeks before you want to buy.

P.S. I have an HTC One. The camera is alright nothing revolutionary. The Lumia has a much much better camera.

April / May 2014 right ? Maybe you should be visiting this in April first week, unless there is a waiting list for phones that I haven't heard about
