Alright, after a month and a half of slow mission of convincing my dad to get me a bullet is showing some +ve results.
I saw a bullet in my area - electra - 2003, proper condition - papers are good -giving me for 35k.
I want know that can i get 60 or 70s bullet for a reasonable price, or else let me know what the price is......
m from mumbai

Older the bullet costlier it would be. Look for Oil leaks and if possible better go for a new one. And Electra 03 would be a steal for 35k

If you go for 60's and 70's, it will be costly plus not to mention the very high maintenance. After sometime it will be a major pain for you in your butt so, my suggestion like roxtin said, go for a new one or take that 03 electra bullet to your mechanic (if you know anyone) and take his advice.

You should come to know about the bike when you give the first kick itself. Ask him, how much time does it take for the bike to get warmed up. Cos, bullet is all about getting engine heated up and then it goes dhuffffff dhuffff and faster and faster lol.

Go for the electra... coz soon they wud be history... after 31st august 2009... new electras (left side brake) and bullet 350 (std) wont be registered in the RTO office.... its a govt of india decleration...

The Legend rides on....!

any idea where i can get to buy bullet?

a friend of mine who had electra is out of stock and electra was sold 3 days after i saw it, so don't have my hand on that baby :(

I had a bullet for ten years, Bullet Standard, from 1996 to 2006. If you do not want to go to the mechanic every two months buy an Electra, preferably a new one. I do not believe in second hand motorcycles.

thats sad :(

best option is buy a new one since no machine comes close to a new one. Oil leaks, starting trouble, electrical malfunction and carburetor flooding and leaking is a common problem with the older models.
