Hi ppl. Need ur thoughts on my bike and family car selection. First lets talk abt the bike coz its just for me.

Finally after abusing my HH Passion for a few years, ive decided to sell it off and buy myself a new bike. Im currently looking at the all black Unicorn and the Suzuki GS150R. Havent ridden any of the two yet. Went to the Honda showroom today but they only had the old Unicorn for the test ride and not the new one. Is there a diff in peformance and handling between the old and the new Unicorn? Also had a look at the Suzuki GS150R upclose at a display zone at a popular hotel in my city and i have to say i was not impressed with its looks. Methinks the all black Unicorn looks way better. So any GS150R owners here who can gimme some dope on its performance? Which is the better choice? Ive read a few magazine reviews and im inclined toward the Uni.......wat do u guys think??

Now abt the car....this is mainly for the family. It will be chauffer driven and the budget is arnd 7-8 lacs. Main criteria is comfort and a smooth ride. Will be used in the city only. Maybe 1500KM/month. Currently looking at the Ford Fiesta and the Honda City(ANHC). I guess the City costs arnd 9 lacs if not more.Wats the current price of the ANHC anyway? Also unable to decide if i shud go for a Petrol or a Diesel car. So do u guys think going for a Ford Fiesta Diesel version is a gud idea compared to the Petrol version for its better FE? Or are there any other better options i cud look at like the Verna or the Linea....? Pls share ur thoughts guys......

Linea Disel... Looks best when driven by a chauffer... ANHC is too expensive for the price and has less features compared to the Linea...

Fiesta has got best handling and is a pleasure to drive but is a lotlle cramped on the rear seat

since u want it chauffer driven with plenty of rear leg room

go for verna diesel.

it will cost u around 9 lacs on road

go for verna

moreover fiesta is now too old to buy

verna has hit the roads now with the newer model

worth buying

i dont know much about bikes

but i have a pulsar 150 cc got in 2003

and its awesome yaar

if u like the looks get the pulsar 180 or 200

depending on ur budget .

i think its still a hit n going strong

in the bike department ..though the Suzuki GS150R isnt really the best looking bike out there..but in the performance department its one of the best compared to other 150cc's .It is more or less like the next Unicorn.

( read this in yesterdays Hindustan Times -Car and Bike section)

go for a test ride of both the bikes , and decide for yourself :).

^Took the TD of the GS150R last week, has a very good handling and little short of performance when compared with my 180cc avenger. But overall it seems to be a good bike but priced very close to the RTR 160 ;) @ 68k onroad chennai.

Car : Look no further than Linea 1.3MJD (Diesel) the all round package u would get in 8L and that too without any compromises. the rear seat experience is something to write about itself. so i think thats ur best bet.

Im against Verna since it has the worst handling(especially cornering) and since the safety of your family is concerned better stay away from it

the ANHC is too expensive for the comfort and features it offer.

Fiesta is Drivers car mate not to be chauffeur driven and the backside is all but cramped.

You can also try the SX4 but mind you its a gas guzzler

I havent greenie but i sure was impressed initially with the looks of the bike wat with its broad rear tyre and the so called naked streetfighter looks. But after a while it started appearing small to me. Im almost 6ft tall and feel that its gonna be awkward for me. I have tried the RTR and it felt too low and tight. Ive seen some tall guys riding the FZ and the thing looks almost like a toy bike. Also not a big fan of the almost non existent rear seat.

I think i will try to get a test ride on the GS150R and the Uni and then decide. I really like the look of the all black Uni.....wish it had a digital console....

Car : The Fiat Linea 1.3 MJD !!!

Bike : Black Unicorn looks SwEEt !!!

else the new alternative, GS150R which ain't all that bad

i still don't get it that how someone can chose/reject a bike because of digital console :-/

^If one is going all by its look

GS150R does look good, the engine doesn't make much noise either. Seemingly well refined.

If you are 6 ft then you might want to look at the Karizma afaik those who are of your height find that bike more comfortable.
