Pulsar 200..

Mileage is good

Looks Awesome..

as it is a Pulsar Handling is to easy...

Sir, Pulsar 200 is not in production anymore :P. Anyways there is no point upgrading to it from a pulsar 180.

The saying goes :P once a bajaj never a bajaj !

But the new 220 is the exception here :P as much as I hate bajaj or hated them for their crappy bikes the new 220 is an absolute joy to ride. They have improved it everywhere from the rubber, engine everything...

Saiayan saar,, please TD the new 220 before you book the fz :P it only 6k or so more than the fz.

+1 to that.
Guess what, the same applies to Pulsar 180 DTSI UG-IV (2009), its a total changeover. Every negative thing has been kicked out of the window.

Thats what i like about Bajaj: They are always keen to understand their negatives and then bring an improvement in the next version.

Anyways,
I still think Karizma (My friend bought it for 85k from Bangalore, 3 months back) is a great option.
Else P220 @ a price lower than Karizma seems to be a better option, if a test ride proves comfortable to you. i.e. 80k

Do keep in mind that the Fazer's twin eyed headlights arent well thought. At low beam only one of them is on. The high beam fires both of them. Quite odd for a touring bike. Not to forget Yamahas arent known for the best illumination.

The ZMA is comfortable and very refined but fails on the fuel efficiency front. The ZMR-FI is more efficient but costly.

The P220 DTSI is more powerful than either of them.Has more gizmos to boot, returns a decent mileage but is plagued by issues.

My pick: The ZMA if you can live with the mileage, else the P220.:)

P220 is powerful ..will give more mileage and affordable price...here it costs 75k

love to buy fazer..but it is not a powerful one

z ma fi is good but costly

i used my pulsar 180 for 7 years...still i like it but shock abs are not good,,and vibrations @high rpm

and so many false neutrals..

Friend's please tell me about P220's shock abs,,is there any vibration issue and false gears??

Earlier model of pulsar's had some issue with d gearbox but d new ones (from past 1-5yr) r absolutely gud n i dont think theres an issue with 220s suspension too. No doubt u vl like it but TD it for better feel.

the engine vibes and vibrations are more of a worry than the shocks, i have the new gas shocks on my classic model, but that no way helps the vibes the engine sends at higher rpm......on the zma its complete :fear: u dont even know what speed ur going unless u look at the speedo :fear: even the unicorn, the zma and the uni are so silent engines, they steal the show / points right away in that department.

are they planning to make any Fuel injection version of P220 ?

The previous 220 had fuel injection. It had slightly less power than the current 220 and was quite a bit more expensive. I am unsure if they have stopped producing the FI 220 though. Even if they have, Im sure there will be some old peices in stock somewhere.
