Hello friends!

In this coming week, i am taking my friend to Nehru Place to buy him a new rig.

His budget is strictly MAXX Rs. 25k [w/o monitor, kb, mouse, ups etc...] and also he will not OC his proccy a single bit.

So this is what i thought of config which will give him best bang per buck!

Intel E5200 - 3.3

Gigabyte G31 S2L - 2.3

Transcend DDR2 800Mhz 2x2GB=4gb RAM - 2.2

Zebronics bijli cabby - 1.4

Zebronics REALWATTS PRO 500W - 2.6

MSI GTS 250 512MB - ~8.5k (i ws going with 4770 bt it's not available :( )

Samsung/LG/ASUS/LiteON/Sony DVD RW - 1.1

Seagate/WD HDD 160gb or 250gb - ??

Pls make ur precious suggestions to improve this more if possible and i 'll be very happy if somebody can confirm if the prices i mentioned are correct.

PS: He will be gaming at 1280x1024.

I also want to know if SMC do assembling also as i neither he knows a bit part of doing that :bleh: if not SMC then any other shop.

If i were you i would have modified it to

Intelcore2 Due E7400 6K

SMPS Iball 450 Watts 600

and a 250 gb HDD doesn't matter wd or seagate

want 2month old Sapphire 4850 with bill for 7900 ? Mumbai seller here !

Your config is pretty decent.

Intel E5200 - 3.3
Gigabyte G31 S2L - 2.3
^ Good Combo ^ , Can do 3.2 ghz @ stock volts , Stock Cooler
Transcend DDR2 800Mhz 2x2GB=4gb RAM - 2.2
Again vfm ram
Zebronics bijli cabby - 1.4
Get CoolerMaster 334 instead @ 1.8k
Zebronics REALWATTS PRO 500W - 2.6
Although the specifications of the PSU are good , but still check with some one having the PSU before buying . If not this then Corsair Vx450 / CX400 is the obvious choice.
MSI GTS 250 512MB - ~8.5k (i ws going with 4770 bt it's not available :( )
You can get it via Mediahome.in
Samsung/LG/ASUS/LiteON/Sony DVD RW - 1.1
Seagate/WD HDD 160gb or 250gb - ??
I would honestly , spend the extra 500 - 600 and get the 500 GB , more is never bad . :bleh: .. Keep in Mind the Segate drives have a higher failure but then again the .12 are blazing fast .

He does the assembling for free , no OS installation etc . CE charges an amount afaik .

10 chars ..

i hv also been doin a lot of research...this is a very good combo :D

might want to replace the PSU with corsair vx450 tho

IMHO get these for sure,

Processor : E7400 Rs.5800/-

GFX : ATI 4770 Rs.6700/- (wait for it if its out of stock)

SMPS : Corsair VX450 Rs.4100/- or CoolerMaster Real Power PRO 460 Rs.3600/-

Cabinet :Bijli Rs.1200 or get a bigger cabinet and not CM elite as its really small.

Everything is fine except get a 4770 and the PSU is ok its an HEC OEM and they are one of the best makers of PSU's.

Get a 320 GB HDD for 2.4k atleast.
