Buying a SE p990i

Im thinking of getting one. Is it still available in the grey market.

i saw the same for 13000 at alfa mumbai.. rates have gone up last time it was around 12k

if u can stretch ur budget the p1i price has come down.. again at alfa for Rs.16250(i think without gps)/17000(probably with gps) both with warranty:hap2:

P990i will be disappointing choice, after you have a run on the P1i (only if you don't have a specific reason ).

I think insyead of p990i you should go for P1i it is really good with an enhanced camera. You will get a P990i in 12,000 on Ebay India from a reputed seller.

Dont ever go for a SE smartphone atleast... their support is pathetic. I am still suffering in the hands of P990i that I bought. That thing is always out of memory, cant even open a website properly. It seems to give you everything but all that is pretty much useless.

p990 might get out of memory but p1 does not get out of memory.

ive bin using a p1i (w/o gps) since around nov 07..
its working fantastic...no mem probs or anything of the sort...
its a much better choice than p990..trust me..

@stellar... I am not saying Pi also hangs or goes out of memory but the support from Sony Ericsson after the P990i fiasco has a left a bad taste in my mouth. I would never ever recommend anyone to go for a Sony Ericsson smartphone when there are cheaper and better options available namely the Nokia E51.
Plus Nokia is also much better on the software front. Softwares for SE smarthphones are very scarce.

Sony ericsson phone's performance is much better than nokia phones.

I have w810i and i used N70m for 1month, N70 takes a lot of time for loading anything, the screen is very dull, less battery backup etc. I had a very bad experience with n70, and i got my w810i back.

I had a very bad experience with nokia so get Sony ericsson.
