HI Experts,

I am thinking of buying the above mentioned PSU from the market section, can you please confirm whether it will be able to take the load of the below mentioned configuration

Asus P5B DLX Wifi / XFX 650i Ultra
e4300
CoolerMaster Aquagate CPU Cooler 80mm/Ultra 120 with a panaflow fan
7900GTX/8600GT
3 Case fan (2 120mm and a 80mm) and a CCFL 120mm fan
2 HDD and 2 ODD

Thanks for the timetaken to read and maybe help.

somewhere around 2K, the only problem it seems to me is that, its a single rail 12V and supports max 18A, though i have very less idea what exactly it means.. ..but i assume thats not a very good figure...please enlighten me.

Hmm, Im not sure who are the OEM Manufacturers of ThermalTake PSU's are, but I follow a policy of stay away from ThermalTake.

They just arent a good brand anymore. The PSU will easily handle what you have though.

It means that it can deliver a maximum current of 18 Amps and is a single rail design.

Most modern PSU's are double or triple rail designs to distribute load between power hogging components like twin GPU's, processors, etc.

The 8600GT your talking about has no external power connector, and hence does not draw excessive power from the PSU. If you however want to upgrade later to something like a 8800 / 2900, then its advisable to invest in a better PSU.
