Buying canon sx 110is in a day or 2!

I got the SX110 and my bro has the TZ5. Both are good. I preferred the canon cause of the AA battries, and with sanyo eneloop batteries it rocks

My vote goes to NiMh. several reasons.
If my batt dies i can get a pair of Energizers in case of emergency :hap2: . Ofcourse i have four sets (16 batts) sufficient for the tour.
Li-ion capacity will be degraded after repeated charging and discharging. Cost of new Li-ion and replacement can be problematic esp in India. I heard Li-ion can cost 1k or higher depend on capacity and model
Since my cam uses 4 batteries i dont need to worry abt flash recycle time. Infact i didnt use much flash as this cam can take relatively noise free at iso 1600. :clap:
Make sure the priority is IQ . Then features and functions.
Panny LX3 is new low light champ after Fuji f30/f31fd. Its equipped with ultra wide angle 24mm and fast lens f2.0

but jjmehta guys said they didnt haved it plus warranty is not good...may b they dont promote...i went late at ard 8 pm and also have to pack for tommm so havent seen the stuff match will add details by monday

got for 17.3k with scratch guard.....and 8gb card

LOL...I got my Panasonic TZ11 from JJ Mehta with 3 year warranty...they had the TZ11 and TZ15 but didn't have the Canon SX110 IS at that time.

Ah come on 1600 ISO on a 1/2.35 sensor ? You have got to be kidding me ! I will have a hard time believing that even ISO 400 will be relatively noise free.

The Panasonic LX3 and Fuji f30/31 have much bigger sensors than the SX110 and hence much more noise free than the SX110. Even then, they are decent only upto ISO 800 (unless you want all fine detail to be smeared away with Noise Reduction at ISO 1600).

Heck even with a DSLR, I would think 5 times before using ISO 1600 (except for the Canon EOS DSLRs. IMHO they are the cameras that I will use 1600 if I feel the light is too low).
