CPU/Mobo Buying Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600mhz C9 2x2gb kit

Guys from one of the te members i'm about to buy Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600mhz C9 2x2 gb kit.

My only question is whether it will support my system or not:

amd phenom 3 720be

biostar ta790gxa3+ mobo

currently i'm on corsair 2*2gb value ram 1333mhz

I heard that Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600mhz is only specifically for intel systems correct me if m wrong here.

Advice accordingly.
 
Go for 8 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz or better. 4gb to 4gb isn't worth it, get at least 8gb.

And AMD systems respond a lot to RAM speed, even till 2133 Mhz if not higher.

4gb is more than sufficient for me. Currently i have 4gb value ram but m giving them to my needy cousin and hence thinking to get these. My budget wont allow me to buy a new or more sized kit atm.

So please advice on the above only.

#nRiTeCh go for the 2 x 2GB CL-9 1600MHz XMS3 kit as you'll benefit with the dual-channel band-width more than getting a new single 4GB XMS3 module.

Nothing like this Sire, although the Phenom II memory controller is restricted to 1333MHz of RAM [by design this is the maximum supported RAM speed], it responds favourably to over-clocking upto ~1600MHz after which the performance increments drop of sharply against the amount of voltage you are feeding to the modules.

Received today 2*2gb xms3 kit from Dark Star and just picked up another 4gb single value ram from deaddevil .
