Buying Digital Camera from US need help

hi,

my friend is coming back from US soon so thinking of getting a good Point & shoot cam from there. after mining for Days have come up with following list

looking for expert advice to choose among them ...:bleh:

Note: i am not a photographer but will like to go for Best budget unit. Thanks to Google i can learn the advanced stuff about my camera later ;)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38 / FZ35
Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3
Samsung WB2000
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5
Nikon Coolpix P6000
Canon PowerShot A3100 IS
Canon Ixus 1000 HS
 
i can go for upto 15 K ~ 350 $

@swapyworld i have not included FZ 100 for 2 reasons ..1st its a bit bulky & not user friendly for my family to operate & 2nd 500$ is overkill for me
 
That is a comfortable budget. And FYI FZ 100 is not even an inch bigger than the FZ 35/FZ 40. Almost same body with more features and better specs. NewEgg had a promotion going on last week where every point and shoot camera was flat 15% off. I snagged a ZS5 at that time.

Out of the cameras you have specified, the only one that stands out is the FZ35. Go for it and you'll learn tons while using it.
