For about 11.5k-12.5k you can buy a ATI 4850, which would be the best card for you at that price.

What is the configuration of your system? What SMPS are you using? You will need a good one to power any of the new cards.

i have a e8400 and 2gb or ram 800mhz sorry i know little of compters. my smps is the coolermaster 600watts i bought it for 3600 .i live in mysore

Absolutely no bottlenecks then... AMD HD4850 all the way!

Asuming you are in India and you want local warranty....

You won't get 9800 GTX or 9800 GTX+ for 11k in India.... if someone gets it from OUtside india thn maybe you can get it for 11k....

But 4850 is still better buy as its better than a 9800 GTX
not sure about 9800 GTX+

i was going through some forums 9800 is better than 4850 right and was reading some plus edition pls help

you will not get the 9800 at 11k in India yet. Your SMPS is good enough to power a new card :)

4850 for that price, unless u wanna hold on a bit longer till 4870x2 gets launched! Prices would come down a bit more on most cards, making u pick better card for less money!

in india 9800gtx+ will cost 14k around , so 4850 a little better buy . or u can get 9800gtx+ from kmd for around 11k .

Performance wise

9800GTX+>4850>9800GTX

Based on US pricing, assuming 9800GTX+ will replace 9800GTX at the current price i.e. $185 and 4850 on $175 still gtx+ is worth the extra $10. But again discussion dies here since 9800gtx+ hasn't launched yet, waiting for its launch will be a good idea! If you cant wait 4850 it is!

how is this shop kmd pls tell how good and safe is the shope cos this is hard earned money.wat if he runs away and i dont get my product

then you run behind him

heheheee...

go to his profile page here.. katmandude

and check you the ratings left by ppl.. he's sold stuff worth lakhs out here. he sure as hell aint gonna run away with ur 11k

I would suggest you buy from your local dealer in mys or pick up your card from Blr. It would be easier for you to claim warranty also. I think you should easily be able to pick up a 4850 card for 11.5k in Blr.

I disagree

9800GTX+ = HD4850

AND

HD4850 > 9800GTX

The 9800GTX+ sells for $299 .. availability is not great ...even if it comes down it will come down to $199...even this would take some time....by then the HD4850 will cost even lesser .. so the HD4850 for the same performance and a truck load of features is always gonna cost $40-$50 less than the 9800GTX+ and hence will be a better buy.

Cheapest 9800GTX [ZOTAC]@ newegg costs $184 ...$174 after MIR

Cheapest HD4850 [SAPPHIRE]@ newegg costs $174 ...$154 after MIR

This is what Guru3d has to say about the 9800GTX+ v/s the HD4850 Each card (4850/9800GTX+) wins and loses some. When you tally up, in the end I consider them both to be pretty equal.
