PC Peripherals Buying Logitech MX 518

Namaste,

I am planning to buy a gaming mouse, and I have finally settled on the Logitech MX 518 after reading the reviews.

  • The 1600 DPI model costs Rs.1200 - e-bay shop.
  • The 1800 DPI at IT-Depot costs Rs.1655, and Rs.1451 at DiscountsVU. Seems that the best offer is by DiscountsVU. Has anyone done business with them? Is there a better offer anywhere in Pune?
  • Is it worth paying the extra amount for the 1800 DPI model?
Also, can anyone introduce me to RMA in India? Thank you for your time.
 
^^ Are you an average gamer or are you a clan-player in your area, what kind of games do you play? Answer these, do you think you'll need the extra sensitivity or can do with 1600 DPI settings.

I play RTS and FPS, and I have l33t skills (haha). I haven't tried the 1600 DPI or the 1800 DPI mice. So, I don't know how different they are.
 
i got myself one(1800 dpi) for 1.3k in kolkata...so u shud go check out the local market,u might just land a better deal!

I believed Logitech stopped production of 1600 dpi ones and moved to 1800 dpi ones more than 3 yrs ago. i got my 1800 dpi one(5 feeted) 4 yrs back. Its still doing great, and i love em more than any mouse ive tested.

What are l33t skills?

Sorry, I'm not to much into short lingo so you'll have to explain it to me. But it seems the Logitech MX 518 + Rantopad H3 mouse mat should be perfect for your job then.

Buy the mouse physically in Pune get the mouse-mat sourced from Bombay. Hope this answers your query.

Go to S.Tech or Computer Plazo(East Street). You might get it for 1.3K.
