Hi all !

Two of my friends coming from abroad, one from UK and one from Germany.

So please suggest me mobiles which are cheaper than here. I am not worried about warranty.

OS - Android
Budget - upto 25K INR.

I am getting Dell XCD 35 for my cousin, which costs around 7.5K in UK  [in India 15K :@]

thank you :D

@ethanhunt123 - Not exactly 'want', but if it's cheaper then I might buy it :D

How about Kindle ? Wifi+3G one, will that work in India ?

@foruamit - *sigh*

kindle 3g will work fine in india, but where will you get it from ? (I am using the wifi version though)

UK one is 152 GBP on amazon.co.uk making it a tad over 11k with free shipping.

Now, kindle 3g on amazon.com will cost 189 USD, making it a tad over 8.5 k or so.

If you can pull off some contract based phones in U.K you can get some real cheap deals :D Ofcourse wouldn't be completely legal but I know of a lot of Indians in UK who do it .

What about the moto milestone 2? Desire Z? By the way, is this going to be your final phone or just that temporary one you talked about?

If Budget is 25k+, then no iPhone for atleast two years :P

Is Milestone 2 cheaper than here ? *checking prices*

^I can get it either from UK or Germany, whichever is cheaper.

So hows experience of kindle ? Can you mention pros and cons ?

thank you :)

i read a whole lot of books, so i am happy with it. is delightfully compact, doesn't almost need a charge in 20 days.

if you read a lot of books which are available online, then, well you will enjoy it. I dont find it much different from reading a paper book. though if you intend to purchase ebooks through amazon, then it can be pricey.

gutenberg will give you free classics atleast though. conversion from html/epub is pretty simple with calibre

I really liked this device !

Android tablet, sleek and color ebook reader !!! AWESOME :D

Now I'm searching in UK stores, its cost.

Anyone in forum own it ?

Prices are not good in UK. Have to get it from US only.

Anyone own it here can tell me how they bought it ? Wondering if it's available locally
