I want to try and fix my Moto G40 Fusion by myself, but unsure as to where I can get a replacement screen from. Obviously not touching Maxbhi with a 10-foot-long pole, but is there any other source where I can get a replacement screen for a fair price?

Nothing better than local market if you don't want to go to the service center. Choose the shop that has the most number of customers. Every city has a mobile market.

Don't go by google reviews. Most of such shops overcharge and may not have the best service.

Everything I've seen on the internet says Maxbhi is not to be trusted more often than not, which is why I asked if you have any personal experience with getting good service from them
 
Lemme know how things go for you, I'm currently rocking a moto g40 fusion with a cracked screen as well altho it's just the front glass and the actual lcd is functional with no issues with the color/display/touch.
Anyways if you do end up using maxbhi id really appreciate an update on your experience with that website

I have ordered multiple items from them and almost all reached me without any issues. Before ordering please see the fulfillment ratio for the item.

I ordered a LCD for Nokia N70 and after few days they have cancelled the order as the supplier didn't had the stock. They have refunded to the maxbhi wallet. For this item, the fulfillment ratio was 30%.
