My friend in US ordered a Seiko for me from Creation Watches and they declared it as a HOROLOGICAL ITEM and valued it for 40 bucks. So no duty.

That is sweet. I wrote to them some hours back, they said at time Indian Customs charges INR 1000. Which is not bad. But FedEx picks it up, and we pay the courier. Nice site. Might get the Seiko Kinetic Diver.

Yeah ...but do Chk for availability of the item before ordering. I'm also thinking ordering a Seiko diver.

The prices at both sites is costly but FlipKart is comparatively cheaper than Watchkart.but my favorite one snapdeal.

I for one found WatchKart being cheaper than Flipkart on the Edifice models which I was eying. Will be using WatchKart and place the order mostly tomorrow. :)

Mostly this one mate: http://www.watchkart.com/casio-edifice-ef-539d-1a5v-watches.html

I'm thinking as to whether I should just go and buy it from the local Casio dealer I have near to my place. It could be better to actually see the different models in person and then decide which one to go for. The prices however are higher by 1k (versus WatchKart) in the casio store but they are giving 2 years of warranty against 1 years being offered by WatchKart.

I can vouch for the "Kart" people. Like others have mentioned, I too have ordered from LensKart and their customer care is really nice to deal with. They did mess up my very first order but handled it very well. Overall, a good customer centric company.

Honestly, I would go to a shop and check it out. The site is really stupid. When seeing a whole array section, not much is told about the watch. I was checking out Seiko and it was really difficult to ascertain what is what. Though the Casio information was more intuitive. I have seen that Edifice with a friend. it looks nice, to be honest. So it is not a bad deal...if you really like the looks.

Mate, I finally bought the watch a couple of days back and ended up with this model:

http://www.watchkart.com/casio-edifice-ef-558d-7av-watches.html

I bought it from the 'Exclusive Casio Shoppe' located near to my place and got it for 9k (I made the payment in cash and they nicely ended up giving me a 500 buck discount :)) Also, I liked the above model much, much more upfront versus the previous model I had liked. To my surprise the previous model I had chosen (based on a photograph on WatchKart) I did not like it upfront at all so steered clear of it. Thank the Lord I visited the shop and saw all the models in actuality, was much easier to spot and buy the one I like.

Shoot...! That is a nice one. White dial..mmm. Need to be in a temperament to get a white dial. Nice deal. Honestly, I think someone with nice bulky wrists should wear white dials. I have skinny a** wrists so would steer away from white dials....! But that Edifice is nice. Yea, one should rather visit a shop then get one online unless you are really sure what you want online. I picked up my Citizen Navihawk Promaster (eco drive) online, and did not go wrong, cause I was quite sure what I wanted. My next bet is going to be a Seiko Kinetic Diver, or even maybe an Orient Power Reserve. Ha ha..Watches...damn...!
